SpringHill Suites by Marriott Camp Hill reviews
17It was ok but over-priced. Moved to Holiday Inn and was just as comfortable with a better breakfast.
Perfect location The rooms are very spacious. The staff was really hospitable and they have a bar that is open until 12: 00 a.m. They offer a nice hearty breakfast in the morning. They turkey sausage make your own waffles cereal bagels and Make your own yogurt.
Spring Hill Suites at Camp Hill is amazing! The staff is awesome and very helpful. Highly recommend! Taylor is amazing and always super nice, she makes staying here even better! Every Marriott should have a Taylor!
Only issue is the bathroom door being frosted glass. When anyone in the family got up over night to use the bathroom it lights up the entire room.
Incredibly clean. Blacklighted the entire room, the sheets, the couch, everything and couldn't find anything. Even behind the toilet was spotless.
Spacious room. Real desk if you need to work.
There's a Trader Joe's, Chick-fil-A, Texas Roadhouse and Bonefish Grill all in the parking lot.
Staff was nice. Didn't have any waits checking in or out.
The worst thing I could say is the breakfast ended a bit early at 9am. Wish they'd push that to 10. I missed it one morning by minutes on my way out.
Bathroom design is poor. Needs a door to separate toilet from rest of bathroom. Worst part is that the bathroom door is translucent, shadows are visible & when you go to the bathroom at night, the light in the bathroom disturbs everybody else
If you're planning to stay in the Harrisburg area, this hotel is a must and great property. Well maintained, the room design and bathrooms best I've experienced. The AGM Jason Drury took care of our every need, very professional and a first class manager. Great breakfast items, friendly bar, large fitness center and common area setting was enjoyable. I will definitely recommend and return in the near future.
Whoever decided that barn doors with large glass panes were a good design choice should be fired. My travel companion was getting up at 5AM to take a morning shower, and when the lights went on it was like I was being interrogated. The bathroom also does not have an exhaust fan. The refrigerator in the room is minuscule and couldn't even hold a small pizza box. For the rates that are charged I expected amenities that match.
The hotel room was very clean over all, there were many stains on the rug in the hallway on the 2nd floor. The elevators, lobby, bar, and breakfast room were all very clean and well air conditioned which was nice when it was in the high 90's outside.
If this hotel was $120 a night it would get 5 stars, but at $200+ a night it just isn't that nice.
We chose this hotel for a wedding block a few weeks ago and had an amazing experience. Throughout the booking process in the weeks leading into the wedding, the staff was very prompt in responding to any questions or updates we requested. Had zero issues and there was about 60 guests staying here. Location was very convenient for our guests from all different states. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Bar area was very accommodating to our guests during the wedding festivities. Wanted to specifically recognize Tiffany who managed the bar during our stay. She was amazing in handling our group, especially coming back to the hotel bar after the wedding. Would definitely recommend.
This was a family trip to Hershey. If you want a kid friendly breakfast then I DO NOT recommend it here. We went during the week (hoping Hershey Park would be less busy) and even though they were full (their words), they still put away the waffle machine for the week. I know, silly thing to complain about, but the options for kids were very limited and we purposely picked and paid for a hotel that had a breakfast. Plain cereal or oatmeal were pretty much the options. No waffles, muffins, or even just scrambled eggs. We have been to a lot of Marriots and this was the worst as far as breakfast goes.
However, the rooms were very nice and clean. The couch area was perfect for the kids to play after a long day at Hershey.
Very nice new, and clean hotel. Breakfast is included with your stay. The breakfast is an open self-service style with a variety of options. There are even allergy friendly options like oat milk.
The stay was welcoming and accommodating.
The only complaint is not against the hotel staff but the architects. The bathroom doors have sliding glass doors with fogged glass. If someone you're staying with turns on a bathroom light in the middle of the night the whole guest room becomes bright, not just the bathroom. A solid wood door would be nice for future renovations or construction.
The hotel is also conveniently located close to many dining options and a mall for shopping.
They also have chargepoint EV parking spaces.
A Review by Ponyo the Cat
My owner told me we had to stay somewhere else because I wouldn’t be happy with a bunch of strangers coming in and making a ton of noise fixing up my house. The SpringHill Suites became our temporary home. To be honest I wasn’t thrilled about the move at first, but after a few days I started to really like our room. I had two beds AND a couch to sleep on; I could jump across the room to the nice big window; my food could be kept in a little fridge; the bathroom was big; and everything was nice and clean. My owner said she enjoyed the other amenities (daily breakfast buffet, microwave, gym, and location) too. All of the staff were very accommodating, friendly, and professional. They answered all my owner’s questions/concerns and were able to extend our stay. To be honest I kind of didn’t want to go home. After staying for nearly three weeks I really enjoyed my new room. If you need a place to stay in the Camp Hill, PA area we highly recommend the SpringHill Suites.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The room set up is fantastic! I wish more hotels adopted this room style! Employees were very friendly!
Room is nice but has the worst hot dishes for breakfast I have ever seen at a hotel. The egg soufflés are horrendous, and since you can't opt out you are forced to pay for them via the room price
New, nicely appointed hotel that's an easy walk to several restaurants/retailers. Located just across the highway from the mall. Some overnight road noise (semi trucks).
Great hotel, new, friendly staff, and clean, clean clean! We had a wonderful stay, room is thoughtfully laid out, loved the bathroom with the walk-in shower and plenty of hot water! Breakfast in the morning was very good, hot and cold choices and tables were quickly cleaned between guests. Husband loved that there was coffee available all the time. We were attending an event in Harrisburg for the weekend and was convenient to Harrisburg. Two restaurants and Trader Joes are within walking distance.
First time here, the wife and I had a king suite. Very new construction, everything was new and clean. We were greeted when we arrived. Check-in was a breeze. They have a bar in the lobby and offer free breakfast. There was a pretty nice amount of options. No complaints whatsoever. I will be returning.
