SpringHill Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh North Shore reviews
19The hotel was clean. However they advertise a hot buffet breakfast. After booking I received an email saying they only do grab and go breakfasts. I called the service desk and was assured they have a "delicious hot grab and go breakfast", just no buffet. The breakfast was the cheapest, most unappetizing breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. I also had to heat my sandwich up, since they serve them frozen. Very disappointing. I would recommend staying somewhere else. Also the pool is reservation only at this time.
The room was clean at least. But the breakfast was horrible. They advertise a hot buffet breakfast. But after booking they email you stating they only do grab and go. I called the front desk and was assured "we have a hot delicious grab and go breakfast, but no buffet. " Well the breakfast wasn't hot or delicious. The sandwich is frozen (had to be microwaved) and everything is cheap and processed. Pool is also only available by reservation only. False advertising.
This one is sort of hard to rate because I made reservations 4 A family of three adults and it was supposed to be a two queen bed bedroom but instead they only gave me one queen bed and a pull-out couch which the pull-out couch was very hard and the Springs were poking through and it just made it easier to sleep on the floor which two out of three did sleep on the floor. The room was described as having a working microwave and refrigerator along with a blow dryer but there was no blow dryer at all which I needed because unfortunately someone had dumped accidentally their phone into the toilet and needed to blow dry it but there was messing around. Their microwave worked but it's parked as if there was foil from somebody else left in the microwave or something and it stopped working after that. It's hard to explain that when it was like it would work but it would still Spark and then it needed a break after a little while and then you could start it back up so another words they should have just chucked the microwave and got a whole new one. And then the refrigerator only stayed cool a small tip not like it should have been as an actual refrigerator. Otherwise overall the room was nice it was smoke-free The View was okay it probably would have been way better had it not have been raining. That was our first time ever visiting Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and having the Pirates stadium right next to us was awesome if we like Pirates which we don't but that's okay. Our price was only $107 and something odd sense and that was total including the room and the tax there is a continental breakfast still for whoever is reading this please be advised because of for right now
Was a good place to stay. Was Hospitable but I am VERY picky when it comes to hotels. This place was not the best nor the worst I have ever stayed in. The location was PERFECT! ! Placed right next to PNC park and I could see hines field from my room (was on the 10th (top) floor). The staff was AMAZING but the building itself needs updated. I give it a full 5 stars due to staff and location! TONS of restaurants, shops and sight seeing within walking distance! !
The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. Any time we had to call for towels or anything else from housekeeping, we were serviced within minutes. I was disappointed that the amenities of snacks drinks etc weren't better. With there not being a close convenience store they should have more to choose from. They kept running out water. We had to go to a restaurant to order several bottles of water for our room. The phone in our room did not work as well.
Room had an strange smell there was a old rag stuff hanging over the shower rod there was stains on the headboard and the pool was filthy also there was a party in the room next to mine full of children and drunk adults
Beautiful place, very good location, room very spacious and clean, the only complain but really is not, is breakfast even if got early down consisted of a few ideas so very poor breakfast but i supposed is to expect because covid-19
Hair dryer had to be brought up after I called because it wasn't in the room. Towels were fraying on the sides and thin. Breakfast was not out at 930 and i was told it was available until 10. But room was comfortable, conveniently located and the housekeeping staff came quickly when i called in need of a plunger.
Got to room after a basketball tournament, went to front desk for towels. Still waiting, it is midnight now and we only have two towels in room. Kids are asleep, called front desk and went to front desk and was told sorry there is a big list. We only had 2 towels in a suite. I have. Ever been treated this way, I walked down there hoping to save someone a trip and was told they will bring them up.
Wonderful staff but the sofa had some interesting stains that needed scrubbed out. The indoor pool is open late but is very small.
We did a mini staycation and they made us feel like we were actually on vacation! Josephine from the front desk was always so helpful and made us feel so welcome. We loved that we could book a slot for a private swim. Definitely will do this again soon!
It was nice, clean and very laid back. The staff were very nice and helpful. Need somewhere to relax and take a break from work and family. Go here
Stayed there for a girls night. Hotel was very clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and it was located within a short walking distance of great restaurants and bars, the stadiums, Science Center, etc.
Because of the covid-19 things are getting done differently. So it's 2 snacks n a water, n that's your breakfast. The pool isn't being used, same thing with the weight room. But the staff are very nice and respectful
The hotel needs a complete refresh. Towels had holes in them. Shower curtain did not extend into tub causing water to go over the floor during shower, windows very dirty. Parking is $20 to $27 per night. Switched hotel to Hampton inn & suites in the strip district - same price and hotel 4 times as nice. Also parking was free.
Tried to book an Airbnb with them. Something went wrong with our booking and the staff was very rude and unhelpful, and instead of offering a solution, told us we could not stay at the hotel. Terrible customer service.
Check in and check out was quick and easy. Asked the front desk for a sheet for the pull out couch mattress and housekeeping came with a full bedspread which was great. Shower didn’t work for some reason though. Luckily it wasn’t a long stay or it would’ve been an issue.
I’ve booked with Marriott multiple times and I’ve always had positive experiences until staying at this location! There was no towels or hot water. Multiple guests complained of this as well. When I asked the matter was addressed I was given attitude by the staff. I was so taken back considering I’m very easy to please and easy going! To top it off I was charged a $127 cleaning fee for leaving rose petals in the room. ROSE PETALS. 127 dollars! I called to dispute and the housekeeping manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. I called corporate to file a claim against this as well but the hotel still kept my cleaning fee of $127. Incredibly ridiculous! Being a “Karen” and leaving a bad review is not in my nature AT ALL, but this experience was just so negative that something needed to be said.
My fiancé and I usually never have any complaints when we stay here but when we first got to our room yesterday we had noticed there was stains on our comforter! The sheets also looked dirty. We was moved to the next room over and well same thing comforter was stained. And the room did not seem cleaned at all! No garbage bags in the cans, the ice bucket was filled with ice from the last person that had stayed there. I tried to get a shower the next morning and there was no hot water at all! We come to Pittsburgh 2-3 times a year and usually stay here well sorry to say but from now on will be staying elsewhere! Also the hallway on the floor we was on reeked of pot! That was the last straw for me!
