SpringHill Suites by Marriott Scranton Wilkes-Barre, Moosic PA

This hotel was awesome when I stayed here about 2 years ago, but what a change since then. We stayed in February 2021.not sure if management changed, or cleaning people changed, but the rooms were far from the quality and cleanliness that they were when we last stayed here. We were definitely disappointed that, because of covid, there is no breakfast offered (not even grab & go like other hotels we have stayed at during this pandemic), and no coffee in the lobby (only small Kerug-type machines in the room with the prepackaged powered creamer/sugar). The pool and exercise room are also not available because of covid. Once we got into our room, there were dark stains in many places on the carpets as well as on the shower curtain, and remnants of food had been dripped (and now dried) onto the tv stand (apparently missed by housekeeping). Both the tv and the coffee machine did not work and, although there were 2 of us in the room, only 1 coffee cup was available in our room). What a disappointment.this used to be a really nice hotel with upscale breakfast and rooms with updated amenities. One plus, the rooms themselves are laid out very nicely and updated modernly with fantastic mattresses and pillows. There is also a fire pit for guests' use just out front of the hotel.
