Spuntino Wood Fired Pizzeria reviews
16My wife & I recently visited Italy & Spuntinos pizza brings us right back, every time. The consistency is top notch & service is second to none. Best pizza around.
I used to love Spuntino’s. They still put out delicious pies. That said, since they got busy, things have changed. Service is subpar with the waitress barking that she’s the only one on staff. Pizzas are not prepared the way they used to be. After a 45 minute wait for food that I had to ask if we were forgotten (dining room less than half full), pizza arrived with a soggy center and a loaf of bread surrounding the pie that no one wants to eat because it’s too dense and not crispy. This had been my experience the last two times I was there. Seems that the takeout side is the way to go. Dine in is not a great experience. Side note, we were asked if we wanted basil which we emphatically requested only to have two shreds of charred pieces in the middle.
I read it in news article that they got best pizza in town but instead regular wooden pizza nothing special other than price is higher for that kind of pizza and eating place
Lovely little place off Main Street in Doylestown. Delicious, fresh pizza with the perfect chew, and tasty fresh salads to boot! The service was just as lovely - friendly, efficient, and helpful!
The pizza here was disappointing. The undercarriage of the pizza was practically raw with no color, which is shocking for a wood fired pizza. The pepperoni did have good flavor. The dining area is down the hall from the venue where the pizza is cooked.
Best pizza around. Crust is thin on the bottom and fluffy on the edges. Ingredients are fresh and delicious. Rob and his staff work hard to serve a high quality product. Our favorites are the crudo and the four cheese pizzas.
Been going to this place for a few months. The pizza is delicious as well as the salads. The owner Robert is a very nice guy. I asked what Spuntino means. I was told ‘snack’. So every time I stop by I mention to Robert I’m here for my ‘SNACK’! Highly recommend the place. A real find on Doylestown Pa. Ty Robert for great ‘SNACKS’…
Spuntino is our reference for authentic Neapolitan pizza in Doylestown and in the extended Philly metropolitan area. Despite being a tiny place with limited space for the kitchen, Spuntino serves a wide variety of pizzas all based on naturally and slow-proofed dough, top-quality ingredients that the pizzaiolo selects and prepares himself from scratch, a Marra forni wood-fired oven and lots of passion and dedication. It is amazing to think how much these last two ingredients matter when pizza recipes are apparently so simple! The staff is awesome, young, energetic, kind and as passionate and dedicated to us - loyal customers - as the pizzaiolo. Being an Italian family, I can say that Spuntino would compete with and sometimes outperform many pizzerias in Italy! Keep up the great work!
Roberto is a very humble fellow. He claims to make good pizza. He makes GREAT pizza. It is a thin crust and he says it’s a one person pizza. He must really not feed any normal people as the bargain price pizza easily fed both of us. Although one eats in a food/shopping mall hallway the food is well worth it? I am so happy the intended destination was closed.
Delicious, brick over pizza at a reasonable price. Great salads, too. This place is a gem. LOVE IT!
I took pizza several times while sitting in the bar just in front. The pizza is great, I love the tuna onions one. They do also very good salads to go with it.
Every time I come, it’s a delight. Never they disappoint on the pizzas. New addition to their line up was pistachio pesto, Muy bonito.
VERY delicious Neapolitan pizza, kind staff. What more could you want? First time visiting tonight and will continue to patron. Thank you
Got the Reggiano, Regina, Pepperoni, and the Melanzana plus two saladas.fantastic food and friendly service!
The best Italian pizza around, this was honestly phenomenal, we loved everything we ordered. Salads were also amazing, service was great and venue very nice. Would recommend this to everyone looking for an authentic Italian experience.
