They really don't deserve one star. This facility has untrained unprofessional workers who lack common courtesy. This facility is dirty! The employee steal clothing and personal items from the patients. Medication was ordered and was never given to the patient

Some ghetto queen broke my friend’s jaw here because he asked for clean sheets. She threatened to knife him if he rang the call light a second time! Scary stuff at this dump!

The lady here on June 20 2022 you hate your job quit. I don't know who she thinks she is getting an attitude with me and my mom. She was using profanity. I wish management would do something about her. This place stinks like hell. I called the heath department over this smell here.

Don't do it. You've been warned.

This s&*%hole is as bad as it gets. The resident abuse is rampant. I witnessed immobile senior citizens shouted at with profanity-laced tirades and others mocked when crying out weakly for help. Patients left on bed pans-left in their own waste, and "nurses" with attitudes so poor, they aren't qualified to care for a hamster.

The place is filthy, and the staff regularly participates in recreational marijuana use on facility grounds during working hours. There is absolutely no professionalism here and certainly no empathy for their charges.

Contrary to what the inept administrator claims, the negative reviews were NOT written by a disgruntled employee. They are entirely factual.

Why the Department of Health hasn't shuttered this 'institution of abuse' is beyond mine (or any sane individual's) comprehension. If you care for your family member, or are potentially facing 'imprisonment' here yourself for whatever medical malady, know this-YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

The his place is the pits. The food is boxed and the help is useless. 4 days anytime you ask for something they walk away and you never see them again. Couldn’t get water or even a potty emptied. The therapy department is really great but could not stay and signed my self out against Dr orders because if the facility. I would never recommend anyone send a loved one there witnessed a few things there and will in contact with the correct individuals to have them investigated.

Stay away! I can't fit all of my complaints in this review. It is by far the WORST center I have ever experienced for a loved one. Filthy and neglectful.

This is the worse place you can send anyone of a animal. My grandfather had the worse care there. They didn’t feed him are give him water for days he ended up with untreated covid and had to be taken to the hospital and he passed away due to malnourish and compliance with covid. This place is horrible do not send your love one there.

If I could give negative stars I would. This is the absolute worst place you can send anyone that you care about. I would not place an enemy here. My negative experience with this facility first started when a woman - I think her name was Candace was actually walking around the hospital accosting patients trying to convince them to use this facility upon discharge. Who does that? She lied to me several times and told me to ignore these reviews because the place had just recently been purchased by someone new and had been greatly improved upon. I am guessing they frequently change the name but nothing else changes. They also lied to me and said that dialysis could be received in-house. In fact the city banned them from doing dialysis on site. The TV in her room was also broken so she had nothing to do all day - and there are NO PHONES in the rooms (probably so that they can't call for help). I had to buy my grandma a cell phone so she could call and speak to me if she needed help.

This place is FILTHY. It is never cleaned. The rooms and bathrooms are disgusting. The food is gross and they don't care about your loved one's dietary needs - like the fact someone is on dialysis and isn't suppose to have hot dogs 3x a week. A actual meal there consisted of a gross pieces of hot sausage and frozen fries. For someone who just had a heart attack. And that was when they even provided a meal. On days my loved one had to go to dialysis she would be gone for most of the day - missing lunch. I asked several times if they could send something with her or give her something when she came back but they didn't care.

Lastly - they actual care here is pretty much non-existent. They frequently forgot to give my family member medications. Life-saving necessary medications. She also developed sepsis in a wound and went into septic shock. Each day I could see her getting worse until I finally requested she be taken to the hospital - the "nurse" tried to give her additional pain medication 5 minutes after telling me she couldn't have any for several more hours. Her plan was just to drug her in silence. I demanded an ambulance and she literally screamed at me and said "What are they going to do for her? Just give her pain medication" "I don't have time for this today". We then waited more than THREE HOURS for an ambulance. It turns out they didn't call 911 they called for a transport ambulance (which we were then billed for). When my family member arrived at the hospital they told me she would have died in hours if I hadn't brought her there. Her blood pressure was so low and kept dropping - I then realized that they NEVER CHECKED IT at Squirrel Hill. That should be the first thing that should have been checked? This place truly almost killed my loved one. She was in the CCU for over a month after this and skilled nursing again for two months trying to recover. She now can't walk because this experience set her back so much.

My friend's father was here at the same time as my loved one coincidentally - and he actually fell out of bed on purpose to escape this place. That's how bad it is. Do not EVER EVER EVER send someone here if you want them to live. The hospital should be ashamed for even making referrals here.

This facility seems to be greatly improving. Staff is caring and empathetic. Would highly recommend.

Stay away! The place is falling apart. It’s dirty and buggy. Don’t believe the pictures. You get fresh water in the middle of the night for the next day. When you wake up there are knats all over the cup and straw. This place needs closed down.

They physically and verbally abuse the patients and steal from them and they need to shut the place down.

Can I give negative stars? ! Absolutely filthy! The smell of urine coming off the elevator was enough to cause my husband to throw up. My mother shared a bathroom with 3 other patients and they don’t have running water. That means no hand washing or bathing. We asked to get her into the bathroom and was told and I quote “my shift ends in 30 mins so that’s not going to happen today”. When I asked to speak to a social worker or manager I was connected via phone at the front desk. As I was talking to them the employee got on her cell phone and was complaining to another employee about me asking to get a transfer. I then asked another nurse for help and I was told that since I was there it was my job to do so because she was busy. She was on Facebook. Her blood sugar has not been checked once in the week she has been there. And is given sleeping meds at 3 pm (her roommate too so I guess the entire facility) so that they are less likely to ask for help. This place needs shut down and should be ashamed of how they treat people. Absolutely in humane.

My dad was transferred here from the hospital for "rehab". We were told AFTER his transfer that because he was Covid positive we could not talk to him. He's an hour and a half from home. We call and leave messages and don't get a return call. Ask to speak to his nurse and get sent to voicemail. Total crock. We're working with another facility trying to get him transferred but they will not fax his info to the other facility. I'm calling dept.of health.

This place is an absolute disaster. My elderly cousin is there now and just stay away from this place. I am not one to complain but this place should be shut down. The care is virtually non existent. They gave her covid and then put her in a room with no remote and no phone. The food is horrible. Nobody knows what they are doing.

My mother had to go for rehab for a broken ankle. While there, she contracted Covid-19. I was not allowed to visit. Then, after a bumpy four months, I had to get hospice care for her. Then she fell out of bed. She was 97 years old and there were no rails on the bed. She passed away after five months. Since then, I have been trying to get her belongings back. No one responds to my inquiries. The only reason I rated this place 2 stars is because some of the staff were very caring.

This is one of the worst places EVER! Lazy staff had a visit with my son at 12pm and got there at 12: 10 he was not ready and I was 1st told he had a accident and it would be 15 mins then after a 1/2 hr asked where my son was then they told me another 15 mins the after the 15 mins when by then I was told he doesn’t want to come down unless it was his brother I called my other son and he called to the 5th floor to talk to my son and he could hear the nurses talking saying this is the brother and then told him that it was a process to get him into the chair so basically it was too muchTrouble to get him ready even after they knew I was coming and it also smells horrible the only staff member they was decent was the receptionist karen
