St. Luke's Behavioral Health Outpatient Services reviews
8This place sucks! Most irresponsible, careless, unprofessional, disrespectful Behavior Health facility! Today is the 4th time they cancelled on me. I suffer from PTSD and they refused to give me treatment. The Manager/Boss mocked me twice. The Psychiatrist is pathetic, useless, unprofessional. Gonna go to a different location. Hate this place. Don’t even bother responding, because I am about to raise PTSD hell. Someone robbed me and tried to kill me. That is why I needed PTSD treatment.
Apathetic staff that never answer phone. Constantly use wrong email and phone number. Sent virtual visit to wrong email and then wouldn't answer phone. Would not renew script because of missed virtual visit when it was the staffs fault. On call staff send to internal medicine group instead of psychiatrist
I called multiple times with no call back. I asked a Lehigh Valley mom group for suggestions and was told by other people they were never contacted back by St. Lukes Behavioral Health. Sad!
Office staff does not ever answer phones, and no one calls you back. They do not relay messages to your practioner. Good luck if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you have an emergency, I would call your PCP instead. You will have better luck speaking to a person if you physically drive to the office and bang on the desk window (while office staff pretends they don't see you). The unprofessional and lackadaisial attitude of the office has been an ongoing, chronic problem. Extremely poor office management. I can't even imagine how many clients they must lose regularly. It is a shame, because they have some wonderful Dr. 's, nurses, and therapists there.
I scheduled an appt about 3 months ago; and my appt was set for today. They have zero empathy for anyone. I drove 45 minutes to get here, even left an extra half hour early to get here on time. I pulled in 5 minutes late because of traffic & my gps took me to the wrong place at first. The staff told me that “traffic sucks, and that I should’ve planned according”. You would think considering I’m here for my mental health, you would see me anymore. I started to break down when she told me that and she handed me my paperwork and said we’ll have someone call you to reschedule. No thanks. I’ll go elsewhere.
The office staff is always understaffed. I don't think I can fault the office because they have a high turnover and are very slow to hire new people. I think they would do well to remember that the people that are coming into this office already have a stigma that they are dealing with. So a little bit of patience goes a long way.
At times the program (innovations) feels rushed and I'm not sure you can get what you need from it. Qthe follow-up care after finishing the program is something to be desired. Because the wait times to get a therapist and psychiatrist are sad. I don't know if it's just the community-at-large where there is a shortage of these physicians or they are just not getting very good deals to sign up with saint Luke's hospital. I would just bear in mind that there are a lot of people walking around who are very close to the edge because finding good behavioral health anywhere but especially in the valley it's very difficult. And if you're not an advocate for yourself you will pretty much just be lost, if you're in that interim I would recommend checking out meetings with NAMI or DBSA.
Never answer the phones or call back. Always run at least 20 mins late when it comes to taking you back for your appt.no late hours to accommodate working schedules. Only good thing is my therapist herself she is great.
Very Unprofessional and apathetic staff.
We arrived early for my daughters new patient appointment only to find out it was rescheduled by the staff leaving a VM on a phone number I don’t own. Even though, it was their error they refused to accommodate us at all and instead wanted us to reschedule for even further out. (Because we didn’t wait long enough for this appointment). Consequently, I took the day off work to make this appointment. The Unwillingness and lack of care to make any accommodation for a child gave me the feeling they don’t care about their patients or how they treat them.
