State College Veterinary Hospital reviews
10Cared for our Isaac for years. In the end, provided compassionate assistance with his passing. Farewell old friend, and thanks SCVH.
My Syrian hamster grew a sudden cyst and was unable to eat, drink, and exercise. It was roughly 1/3 the size of his body.he's young and even though he's a hamster, I wanted to make sure he wasn't in pain. They fit me in the same day and performed minor surgery to remove the impacted material and stitched him back up. They walked me through the whole process and demonstrated post op care. They saved my hamster and my sanity, never making me feel silly for bringing a rodent to the vet. I literally could not recommend this hospital more
My cat has been seeing Dr. Kocher and Dr. Guffey since I got him - amazing experience with reasonable price!
Hands down Kocher is the best vet. She has tons of experience and also constantly cites newest research. She's aware of new treatments, trends and options (example - injections for dog's joints). I heard of her from other locals who've had dogs for 15 years when I moved here and am happy I picked her then. The office never 'forced' or suggested 'extra tests' as some vets would to make more $. Her surgical skills are superb - she's done hip surgery on a friend's dog and growth removals on mine. And they do everything for the dog. Example: 2 vet techs and the DVM were crawling on the floor to remove sutures from my dog's paw to avoid unnecessarily sedating him.
Things were fine until COVID hit. Dog was seriously injured and wouldn't let anyone be in the office with her while they check her out. Will be switching vets.
Always a good experience. Great staff. Clean rooms. Everyone is fantastic. Been going to them for a few years now and couldn't be happier.
Dr Kocher has great skills & knowledge for taking care of my pets. She explains what is, or could be, going on so I can understand. Her staff & associates are wonderfully friendly & helpful as well. I really appreciate everything they do for my pets at State College Veterinary!
All 3 of our cats lived long and prospered under Dr. Kocher's care. She takes the time to talk to you in detail and we trust her opinions. We're currently without a pet gor the first time in 25 years. When we get a new critter or two, we'll definitely be back.
This is the veterinary hospital I trust implicitly with both of my cats' well-being and health, and will continue to patronize while I remain in town. I cannot overstate their expertise and dedication to animal welfare.
Phenomenal service, very reasonable prices, convenient hours and even the option of boarding. My animals and I have had many positive experiences with both Dr. Kocher and Dr. Guffey. Their staff are excellent too! They are thorough, take the time to explain all the details, follow up promptly, and genuinely care about their clients. My family and I are very pleased with SCVH and feel blessed to have stumbled upon this gem. I trust them 100% and would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you, SCVH, for all that you do!
