Staybridge Suites Wilmington - Brandywine Valley, an IHG Hotel, Glen Mills PA

Awesome stay! Very clean and very friendly staff. Shayla, in particular, was super helpful throughout my stay (thanks so much)! The breakfast was good with lots of variety and I truly appreciate the fully functioning and stocked kitchen in the room. The hotel was close to many restaurants, stores, and shopping centers so there is something for everyone within a 5 mile radius. They also partner with GrubHub for extra hotel reward points. Definitely will stay here again in the near future!

This hotel was amazing! The staff is so incredibly nice. There was an adorable social hour from 5: 30-7p with light snacks and drinks complimentary on M, T and W nights along with complimentary breakfast in the mornings. There is a basketball hoop, pool, grill and fire pit. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Would absolutely recommend this hotel. Loved our stay!

There's not one washing machine that works properly. Not one. Avoid this hotel for extended stay purposes.

Absolutely the best customer service I’ve ever experienced while traveling. They are caring and vert attentive to your needs. Unbelievably kind and you will not regret staying with staybridge suites Wilmington. I never leave reviews but sometimes it feels like it’s the least you can do for such a positive experience.

Beware that reservations may not be honored even if booked months ahead. I recently arrived after reserving ahead only to be told that the reserved room was not available and that they “seem to have overbooked”

Had an excellent stay this weekend! Our suite was clean and cozy. The staff was polite. Continental breakfast was great as well.

The suite was clean. The staff was helpful. The free breakfast was delicious. 5 stars. I’d definitely stay again.

Staff was nice. Lobby was clean. Elevators painfully slow. Our room smelled like an ashtray. Towels were like cardboard. TV was weirdly positioned that made it hard to watch from bed or couch. Check in and check out was fairly easy. Parking plentiful. And near a bunch of services. Food delivery available from DoorDash and Grubhub.

Clean, cozy, friendly staff. Kind of like a ski lodge feel with the fire place. I would stay again for sure.

We're almost through our stay here and very much recommend. We're with our toddler in a 1 BR suite. Nice to have doors/walls to separate living room/kitchen and bedroom.

Highlights-
1. Bed - The bed is actually sleep-able! I've stay at many places including others IHG properties where the bed always has a dip or is just bad.
2. Housekeeping - they'll come daily, but I put Do not disturb sign and they skip the room. I don't change my towels daily at home so why would I here:) I place my trash bags in the hallway daily and they take care of it. I had them come in mid-week to freshen the towels. They were also responsive to my requests for extra sheets and dishes, etc.
3. Customer service - courteous quick check-in. Very friendly and helpful kitchen staff during breakfast.
4. Breakfast/"social hour"- Better then expected breakfast, eggs, meats, fruits, yogurt, breads, cereals, muffins; some items changed daily like the eggs. I appreciated they always helped me find pain oatmeal. Social hour is appetizer kind of set-up. I don't agree with others' assessment that it's lacking, it's not supposed to be your dinner! It's offered Mon, Tues, Wed evenings. There's a calendar on the fridge of the themes.
5. Nice pool and basketball court for the kiddos
6. Free Parking! Free laundry machines! They sell soap pods for $1.7.5 min drive to Costco, Target, many other shops
8. Quiet - despite seeing other kids and dogs around, we were not disturbed at all.

The downside
1. Kitchenette - it is not robust and likely not refreshed after each guest. My one pan was burnt. Like not useable. I called three times, nothing. Finally i walked over to housekeeping myself. Not a complete set of anything i.e. Spoons. Dishes were cracked as was coffee maker. We made do. Dishwasher was helpful. Full fridge as well.
2. Pool - pool left some kind of residue on us but no harm came of it. We always shower before and after. Maybe it's their type of cleanser.
3. Gym - matts, equipment a bit dated. Two recumbent bikes, a treadmill, elliptical and a cable machine. Scale is nice addition.
4. No USB cable connectors on lamps, desk, etc. All regular outlets.

Very nice hotel.room was really big and open.will definitely consider as an option as I frequently travel to this area during the year

We love it here. This is my family’s favorite hotel. They are very accommodating, and they keep the place spotless. We love the pool, and the fire pit! They also have a basketball court and a barbecue grill. We like it so much we would even go in the winter. Great breakfast bar too!

I was really enjoying my stay at this hotel until the evening of the 2nd day. The guest across the hall had a dog which would not stop making weird yelping and scratching sounds. It was so continuous and disruptive that I had to call the front desk because I thought that there was something wrong with the dog, or the owner. Sadly, my calls were useless because the awful sounds continued. Apparently, the front desk called the room, but there was no response. To me it seemed that the dog was in the room alone and wanted out. Because of this one bad experience, I will be avoiding pet friendly hotels from now on because this was definitely not human friendly. Apart from this incident, the hotel room was comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful. Laundry is free, breakfast is substantial (not as many choices as other Staybridge locations), and the hotel is in a great location near stores and restaurants.

My husband and I stayed at this Staybridge for 17 nights with our dog in a two-bed suite. We needed a place while we found a rental house and it was a good experience overall.

Positives: The hotel was dog-friendly which was the initial appeal for us. Dogs can be left in the room alone if they are crated, and it was only $150 for the whole stay. The room itself was comfortable and clean. Great water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was decent every morning. The staff was very nice and accommodating, and because of our longer stay the manager ensured we were getting the best nightly rate. The location is fantastic and close to shopping, restaurants, parks for the dog, and easy access to major roads. Nice pool, outdoor patio, food and beverage area, etc.

Cons: We brought a lot of kitchen items with us, which was good since the kitchenette is pretty small and not a lot provided. The internet was slow at times. The social hour food left a lot to be desired, but we mainly took advantage of the drinks. (For example, their “stir fry vegetables” was only plain steamed broccoli, and “salad” one night was giant, whole pieces of Romaine set out.) We considered anything at the social hour a bonus, but I just want others to be aware and not plan your meals around it.

Overall I would stay here again, and even though it was expensive, we felt that it was a good value when factoring in having the dog with us.

Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Accommodations are clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The area is safe and accessible to many shops.

Great hotel only stayed for two days but definitely in a perfect location when visiting Philadelphia

Staybridge was one of many 5star Suites that I've had the pleasure of staying in. Their customer service was so great. Our rooms were incredible. So much so that my daughter did not want to leave. We will definitely be returning to Staybridge for our next road trip. Thank you!

Overall good experience. Breakfast was not really tasting very fresh though.recommend getting some help with it.
