Steinmetz Coins & Currency, York PA

I have been buying Gold and Silver, and occasionally selling, for over 20 years but rarely do I come across a dealer as honest, fair and professional as the folks at Steinmetz - they were first-rate and I cannot recommend them enough!

My husband and I inherited a life-long coin collection. A search for a reputable and honest coin dealer led us to Steinmetz, and we could not be happier with our choice. We have dealt with them a few times recently. Each time we were there the person helping us was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. My husband had spent hours researching the value of the coins, so we had a basic understanding of their value.
We have always been given a very fair price for the coins, and have actually been given more money than we anticipated at times. I highly recommend Steinmetz, and I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future.

I was oblivious to the fact I couldn't pop into a bank to get 100 2023 pennies.
Someone suggested Steinmetz coins. I placed an order with expedited shipping on July 30, an order I needed by July 8th for my wedding. Yes, very last minute.
I received an email saying my order was on hold until payment was verified. This can't happen, the shipping couldn't be delayed, lol. So I look on the website and find an email for "questions. "" I sent an email begging for someone to verify my order. Then, in a panic, I send another desperate email. I received one back from a lovely man named Michael. He explained he packed my order up and was dropping it off on his way out of town. Talk about customer service. He made my desperation and lack of planning his responsibility. Not many people care, especially on a holiday weekend. To top it off, this awesome human was the company vice president! He could have easily overlooked my email and waited until the holiday weekend was over but he didn't. He also included handwrittenen note for best wishes on our upcoming wedding!

This place is wonderful! I drive an hour to come here and I’ll keep coming back. Mike is incredibly knowledgeable and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They have an incredible selection of bullion and numismatic so I never get bored getting the same stuff and they usually have what I’m looking for. Prices are lower than anything listed in findbullionprices so I don’t even think twice if I’m overpaying any purchase large or small. I absolutely LOVE the history and information Mike shares if I don’t know much about something! He definitely adds to the excitement of buying coins! I recommend this shop to everyone
