Steve Shannon Tire & Auto Center, Dallas PA

I have been a customer in the past of Steve Shannon Tire & Auto Center out in Benton, Pa and was satisfied with how things went from start to end. However, after calling their shop in Dallas, PA for some prices recently and being quoted $36.95 (per tire) just for mounting and balancing, the odds are I will NEVER consider using their services again.

NOTHING turns a customer's business away more than being EXTREMELY overpriced for the simplest of services. This place was $10 more (per tire) than their most expensive local competitor. That is just INSANE! With prices like these this shop might as well just put out a big neon sign telling potential customers to go elsewhere.

In the end, this shop in Dallas, PA lost my business, but they did still manage to put a smile on my face. Why? Because by quoting me a ridicously high price for such a simple service, they forced me to go to one of their competitors (Tire Choice, Dallas, PA), thus saving me almost HALF of what they were charging, plus the cost of gas to boot! Remember folks.you have money saving options all around you.

Never again.took a tire to get a patch plug put in.they said they couldn’t do it because the hole was 3/4 of an inch.well it was only 1/4 inch and there competitor down the road fixed it no questions asked!

Always a great experience here! John and Len are always up front about what really needs to be done and what can wait. I've even come once or twice thinking work needed to be done (because someone else told me it did) and was told it wasn't necessary right now, it's OK to wait. They're always clear about the costs, the time it will take, and almost always come in under the estimated price.

Had my car inspected 2 years ago, and a few weeks later had to go to the dealership to replace their faulty airbag. They claimed my brakes were in dire need of replacement, rotors too. I was able to call John on the spot and have him tell me that was blatantly not true!

My dad said when you choose a mechanic, you can get good, fast, or cheap - pick two! I don't know how fast other mechanic shops are, but this might be the rare gem that has all 3!

We set up our car for an inspection and brought it there that morning. The guy then tells me they wont be able to do it because the roads were not in the best condition from the storm, i mean the road were fine by then but sure ok no problem.i ask him if next Saturday will work and he says yeah thats fine, call us and set up an appointment. I call and said they already have one booked for Saturday and cant do it. Called up another place and set it up no problem. Guess that will be the place i go to from now on.

I'm a woman and was old customer. They are nice specially John. I visited there last year for a yearly inspection Len accommodated me. He said that my can needs a muffler replacement. I said ok. When I picked up my car, when you started the ignition it will jumped and the muffler was so loud. I told Len why is so loud and why it jumped when you turned the ignition and it wasn't like that before I brought my car to them. He looked at it and said just observe and bring back if still the same. The next day same problem, so I brought my car back to them. I was so upset because they didn't do nothing about it. After couple months my car broke down. My Car was fine before I brought to them! I don't trust them anymore! They broke my car! And I paid more than $1,100 to them just to break my Car. Very DISAPPOINTED
