They were easily accessible, very thorough and navigated some unexpected challenges, due to weather, with ease. I was very impressed with Stitzel Funeral Home in Oley. First of all I called him to come to our home and gave Matt Stitzel both of our information in the time of death for either one of us. When the death of my husband was upon us, Melissa did a most wonderful job meeting with me, my son and daughter-in-law. We almost felt like we knew Melissa all of our lives, but to us she was a stranger. Melissa did not treat us like a stranger, but a member of the family. I was so very proud of the appearance that she had done for my husband, and I know my husband would also have been so proud of the way he looked. There are no other words to express the approval of Melissa for the wonderful job she did for my husband, then outstanding. I am so very proud to say when my times comes, I will also be proud to have Melissa prepare me for my viewing! GREAT JOB!

She was very warm and easily made us feel comfortable. She communicated with us immediately after the meeting by e-mail, and followed through with all of our adjustments to the obituary in a timely manner. She made the process much easier for us.

Melissa was very helpful and respectful throughout the process. She listened during the grieving process of some of the events that went on in the hospital. She walked us through all the selections that needed to be made and gave us our space to make the selections we needed to make. She helped in the color selection of the coffin and got confirmation while we were there that the one style was available in green, my dad's favorite color. Things like that are remembered!
