15Farm to Table dinner and show with Taylor Manson was incredibly fun. Great clean entertainment for everyone. The meal from C&J catering was superb! Staff is so professional!
Way cheaper than hershey parks thing, but 3x the value! Price is per car, and it's a nice little way to get into the holiday spirit! You pay midway through. Not at the beginning!
The Christmas drive thru was outstanding I'm planning on visiting the dinner theater at Star.
Beautiful Historical and precious train, clean inside outside, amazing view area, nice and helpful staff. One issue the trip is too short max. 20min not 45 min.
The Stone Gables Christmas light drive-through is a breathtaking display that truly captures the spirit of the holiday season. With over 600,000 lights, the spectacle is nothing short of magical, creating a whimsical wonderland that delights visitors of all ages. What truly sets this display apart is its celebration of the true meaning of Christmas, adding a heartwarming and spiritual dimension to the experience. As visitors wind their way through the enchanting lights, they are treated to a powerful reminder of the values of love, peace, and joy that define the season. Stone Gables Christmas light drive-through is a must-see attraction for anyone seeking to embrace the essence of Christmas in a spectacular and meaningful way. Stone Gables is an iconic location for a Lancaster County treasure The Star Barn.
We visited over the holidays in December and just WOWWW We truly had the most magical time! It felt like something out of a Hallmark movie! Everything was so picturesque and there was so much to see and do! We stayed at the Liberty Spring House for a couple nights and then the Rockin’ Retro for a couple nights! Can’t recommend either of them enough then we did the drive thru Christmas light show, the Dinner + a Show at the Star Barn, went horseback riding, did the train ride with Santa, and even visited the Christmas Market! If you’re thinking of visiting here, you won’t regret it and we LOVED staying on site at both of the properties!
My family enjoyed the Christmas light tour through Stone Gables Estate and it could not have been prettier in my opinion. It was fun and beautiful as my young kids enjoyed the lights and challenge of trying to spot the 7 elves. Most of all, the tour was Christ exalting as every sign told the Christmas story and called for it's readers to respond to the Gospel.
Absolutely must-see drive-through Christmas decoration extravaganza! Take a car full of grandparents and little kids, bring along cookies and hot chocolate, and you'll be glad you did! It's 3 miles of driving on paved roads, and you need to drive slowly and stop to read signs, so allow at least an hour. Signs along the way explain the meaning behind various Christmas traditions and clearly explain the significance of the birth of Jesus that Christians celebrate at Christmas.
Was told to be there 15 min early in e-mail, waited few minutes while train emptied. Was able to board promptly but then sat and waited til 10+ after the departure time because “we are waiting for a few more families to show up”. Finally left, moved for 10 min, stopped for 10 min, went back in 10 min. Bottom line is we spent more time waiting for nothing. Not worth it at all, kids were bored
Our family as well is so happy the Christmas Museum opened again. Our family Christmas trip included the museum, the train ride and a ride through the light display after dinner. We were 12 singing from age 72 thru 5 and none of us were disappointed. Conductor Ron made the train experience so much fun. So happy to see the message of Christmas being the major attraction
We did the Christmas Drive Thru.it was awesome! We loved the story theme they had and the different meanings they explained for popular traditions.
Our visit was the last Friday before Christmas. The train ride concept was nice, my grandson (age 3) loved it; the adults saw the train remembered the movie and thought we were going to take a 30 min train ride (not). The drive thru lights had good visuals. The staff was wonderful. Unfortunately, for us, the entire experience wasn’t worth the 3 hour drive to get there.
Beautiful lights & the true meaning of Christmas shared throughout the drive. We’ll be back next year!
The Christmas Village was adorable. The Christmas Carolers were awesome. Santa on the train is definitely the real Santa. Conductor Ron on the train is on of the best narrator I have ever heard and does such a great job keeping everyone entertained. The drive through lights are the best ever! Such a spectacular display!
The venue was gorgeous and the light display fantastic. The entertainment was great. The food was just mediocre. The turkey was not fresh but some type of processed meat. The hot appetizers were good but the selection in a cardboard container that resembled the one the McDonald’s uses for fries was wasteful to say the least. Cheese and vegetable platters would have save a lot of wasted food. The buttersquash soup was not hot and had very little flavor. I expected a first class meal for the money and venue.
