Pros:
Spacious apartments
Balcony view available
Back door front door on the first level apartments
Spacious parking spots

Cons:
Not sure of gas, but they have coil stoves
Small kitchen area.

We spend six years at Stonecliffe. Five of those years were great, and then Amore sold the property and it wasn’t so great anymore. Berger is making a lot of necessary updates and repairs, I will give them that. The property is old and outdated and the apartment itself looked like it hadn’t been renovated since the 1980s. The new units are beautiful.

But Berger is not very good at communicating. Emails went unanswered all the time - often for weeks - and the office was sometimes closed when it shouldn’t have been.

While they have replaced the light fixtures, street signs, and fixed the pool, there’s still a lot about the property that is just not up to speed. Snow removal is horrible. The old crew used to be so quick to clear everything, the parking lots would be plowed and the sidewalks salted before anyone had to leave for work. Last year, the sidewalks sat covered in snow and ice for days at a time and whoever did the snow plow blocked access to the dumpsters so no one could take out their garbage. There were giant shipping containers holding the construction materials sitting in the parking lot for months, paint dripping out of the doors and cigarette butts scattered around them all over the ground. Our backyard had drainage problems for years that were never dealt with.

Overall, Stonecliffe is not horrible. But it’s not as good as it was, and while the units are beautiful, the overall experience is not worth what they’re asking for in rent.

I have been living Stonecliffe Apartments for nearly 7 years starting from May 2014. I greatly enjoyed my stay and I believe it is one of the best apartments around the Monroeville area. Overall I am very happy with Stonecliffe Apartment. Just the rent is going little expensive may be due to Covid

The community is quiet and peaceful, and the building and grounds are clean and well-maintained. The maintenance staff are professional and courteous, and management goes the "extra mile" to make your plans come to fruition.

I have just moved into the Birger plan and have moved about twenty apartments since my divorce from Pitcairn in 2000. I have used a lot of trinkets to make the apartments suitable for my retired stature. Many were not suitable because of HUD's ways.

The outside looks better than inside I have a hole in bathroom for a year now and nothing they come in your place without notice

Pretty expensive for how old everything is. Maintenance is terrible, the only competent person is the head of maintenance who is rarely going to be the one fixing your issues. All the office staff I ever spoke to were rude, uninterested, or both with the exception of the front desk guy Ken (Who is a pretty nice guy).

The apartments are nice. However, my only issue that their constant push to keep increasing price. Even in this unprecedented COVID 19 situation where landlord are helping their tenants, management here want to get more out of their tenants. I have talked to 5 or so families and their rents have been increased by $50 months. While some of us lost job or took a salary cut, and everywhere cost is going down, it does not matter at Stonecliffe Apartment. They want to see more profit! No empathy shown. When asked to freeze rent, their answer is standard, we understand but can not do anything! I hope the management are not so profit oriented. Waiting for PA Governor's law asking Landlords to freeze rent increase at least for this year.

I moved in Jan 2.2020. I am truly satisfied with my apartment
I live in a one bedroom apartment, it is so spacious, I love it. The maintenance men are right on time. One time I called Maintenance to move a chair into my bedroom they came about ten minutes later. They are really efficient and pleasant people.

I've lived here for about six months and would recommend Stonecliffe to anyone looking for an apartment in the Monroeville area. Amore Management is dependable, has great rental prices, and keeps common and outdoor areas very clean. The Stonecliffe staff is experienced and, above all, trustworthy. I've had the privilege of interacting with Russ, a maintenance professional who also lives at Stonecliffe (it says a lot when your staff chooses to live on-site where they work), since the first day I moved in. My dishwasher broke the third week after I moved in due to it being older and the previous tenants overloading it. I put in a maintenance request and THAT VERY DAY Russ and his crew came in, replaced the dishwasher with a brand new one, tested it, and even brought in a package of mine that a delivery guy incorrectly left outside the building. I read some of the poor reviews on Yelp and I have to think that these other people are simply just never happy wherever they choose to rent an apartment, and they likely complain a lot to the staff about absurd things. My experience has been such a great one that I decided to take the time to do something I almost never do - write a review online. If you're looking for an apartment, my advice is that you contact the leasing office at Stonecliffe, and while you're there, take the time to meet Russ on the maintenance team because once you do you'll see the type of quality, exceptional person who both works and lives at Stonecliffe, and you're going to want to rent an apartment there.

. This is my first time living in an apartment and I did not relish the thought of moving into one when my husband and I got married. But, I can honestly tell you, it’s been a great experience. Our neighbors are friendly and the staff is incredible. Particularly Russ, who takes care of most of the maintenance work in the complex. Anytime we need something fixed or even just looked at, not only is he prompt with his response and with his remedy of the problem, but he is very pleasant while doing so. I am very grateful to Russ, and the rest of the Stonecliffe staff, for making our apartment life a good one!

Me and my husband moved here almost 10 months back and we are very happy with our place! Whenever we need some help in maintenance, Thanks to Russ he helps us every single time!

Been living here for almost a year now. The maintenance crew are top notch very friendly and efficient. Any issue I've had has been resolved with no problem. Keep it up!
