Strive Multisport (Formerly Cedar Bike and Paddle) reviews
13Relaxed atmosphere & great knowledgeable staff. They have prices that meet a variety of customers which is rare. Thanks for your business as always.
I recently purchased a bike at Cedar bike, a Trek ultra sport 2, it's early, but really like it, the ride, shifting and even the seat feels comfortable, Kyle was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable from the get go, Missy was the best, very helpful and inciteful, even helped me rack up the bike, thanks!
I stupidly removed my handlebar stem screw and was unable to put it back. The Mechanic spent about 45 minutes fixing my screwup. This entailed taking half my bike apart and reassembling it. The cost was so surprisingly cheap. I highly recommend this store for ANY repairs! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and know their trade
Honestly, I cannot understand why the reviews are so high for this place. The service is very lacking at best. Went there for some bike repairs, and one of the problems was that the brakes were not working correctly. A man named Kyle who was working there was not friendly or polite, even when I initially came to drop off. Then when I went back to pick up, I noticed that the brake problem was still not fixed. He claimed he could not get the parts necessary to completely fix, yet still charged me for the parts he did put on, which didn't fix the problem. He gave me a $5 discount on labor, but had a MAJOR attitude and did not seem apologetic or empathetic in the slightest. Also, they had no bikes to sell for my daughter. Would not go back unless there was NO other option, which seems highly unlikely.
What a great local shop! I had picked up a second-hand bike that needed repair. They came outside looked at the bike, and told me exactly the parts I would need. They also explained how to change it myself. Once back inside they immediately helped my wife find the helmet she needed and check the fit.
My fiancee and I got a pair of refurbished mountain bikes and took them to Strive Multisport before taking them out on the trails. They put the bikes together, checked them over and gave us some great ideas as beginning bike riders. Always great to see awesome customer service like that.
Convenient location is the biggest plus. They didn't have the bike I wanted in stock so I bought a second choice which is working out just fine. They take care of minor fixes at no charge and the staff is helpful but sometimes are hard to communicate with. Overall, I would recommend them as long as you don't need something special.
They fix flats even on electric bikes. Fast and friendly service too. Would recommend to a friend.
Very helpful on my 2015 trek 3500. I have been going to place from 2006 up until this year. I will keep getting parts for my bicycle if I need part's and after market part's if I need part's. I have no problems at all with them. I would like to keep coming back if I need to.
Very much appreciated the quick fix getting me right back on the road and very, very reasonable cost just under$11
I have been using Cedar Bike for over 14 years now. This place is GREAT.
The whole team is a great group of guys (and girls) willing to support not only the person buying the bike but many other community efforts, like little league, bike tours and the only BMX and Singletrack building. I have purchased 4 bikes so far from Cedar and sent many new cyclist to them as well, all with good results. I like the fact that they are close to me and I can stop by and give him a puzzled look as to why my bike is acting "funny". They do get to know their customers and do take good care of us.
One last suggestion. Buy at a local bike shop! To put this in perspective, average bike from big box store will be rusty and parts warn in a year, due to cheaper components. I still have the first bike I purchased from Cedar/Strive 14 years ago. It has well over 4,000 miles on it. Thus a $350 bike, invested in new tires, brakes, chain, etc, over 14 years, total about $150. Total cost about $500 or. 13 cents per mile. Compare that to a $250 bike from big box that last 2 years. $250, live expectancy of 2 years. 44 cents per mile and you don't have a bike after two years.
Purchased a new Trek from Cedar as well as attended one of there free training classes. Both experiences were great and I highly recommend.
