Style of Man reviews
15Tip has been cutting my hair at Style of Man for 20+ years. The staff is so friendly, love having my hair washed by Lori, and always leave with a fabulous haircut!
I called 2 mins prior to my visit, and they took me in and gave me one of the best hair cuts, thank you Cathy.
Little expensive, but worth it in that part of the city.
Not surprisingly all of the good reviews are about Tip. She’s the best. I don’t judge a salon on its atmosphere or price as much as I focus on the person actually cutting my hair. Tip is Professional, accurate and does an excellent job. If you think $35 is too much for a good haircut, go somewhere else. To me, Tip is worth every penny.
Been here for a haircut a couple times. They do an excellent job. Appointments are probably recommended. I did just walk in the first time and they were able to accomodate me.
Went in for a shave. Looks horrible. Paid 25.00 plus a $5.00 tip. Called and asked for Deanna and the person wouldn’t let me speak to her.
Horrible.
One of the best barber shops around Philly. Convenient central location in liberty place. Just found out that Angelia from the Paoli location is working here on Thursday and Friday. She has been cutting my hair for the last 10 years and is highly recommended. Great attention to detail and I can trust her to keep me up with the latest fashions.
A great, welcoming experience. Lore is a sweetheart. Greets you and washes your hair. Tip cut my hair. This is my first haircut at a different place for 8 years, and I was in good hands with Tip. She has been there for over 20 years and does a mad-great fade.all by hand. A+
I hate having to pick a new spot to cut my hair. I care more than the plain old barber cut you get when your 8, but less than the average female. The staff was friendly and Alba, the woman who cut my hair was awesome. Very happy for a reasonable price and would recommend.
Do not go here if your a man! Terrible terrible place! They over charge for services that are not even complete services. If your like me and have a beard that grows fast you will want a razor shave "nope we don't do that here". I told her I just want a little cut off she like ok.and cut all my hair off. So if you want to pay $40 for something that you don't like come here.to top it off only women work there kinda sexist! NEVER GOING TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!
Attracted by the website of SOM I made my first appointment. It's located centrally in Philly, so pretty easy to get there. SOM employees are not that skilled as it looks and I got my worst haircut EVER yesterday! Will never visit them again.
Digging the new haircut I just got here. Was worth the price. Very professional job done. I saw some bad reviews but the problem just might've been the customers and their communication skills instead of the stylists.
Not sure I understand the bad reviews. I am not a flashy 50 year old… but I’ve found everyone to be very friendly and the service punctual. I’ve been seeing Tip for the last year and she has consistently done an amazing job cutting my hair. I came to Style of Man on a recommendation after a few bad haircuts at other salons. Tip listened carefully and gave me the exact haircut I was looking for. I’ve been a loyal fan since.
They did a brilliant job with my hair. I wanted it dyed black with a fauxhawk that was bleached and they did it perfectly, no programs whatsoever. Well worth it if you want something fancy!
Was a walk-in having just seen the place and work in the same building. People were polite. They fit me in. Haircut was not exactly what I wanted, but hey, it is the first time and that is hard to meet. Still, she was educated and finished with a decent cut. A bit pricey.still trying to swallow that.at $40 for a men's wash and cut. They do not put tips on the card so I had to use a nearby atm.which added 3.50 to the experience.will think twice next time, but good in a pinch
