A very good place for kids and adults alike. The package included a guided tour of the sub, a self-guided tour of the ship and the museum. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour. It proved a nice contrast to see both the ship and the submarine together. The museum was surprisingly interactive for kids. Overall half a day well spent and no regrets. Note that you have to pay for the parking separately.

Great place to visit! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the submarine and it's history. It's amazing to see the design of the sub and to imagine what it would have been like to have been a sailor living in it. Prices were great for the amount of time you get on the tour and it's definitely a unique experience!

It was a great experience, our guide Gregory was super knowledgeable. He held through the audiences questions patiently.

An interesting, hour-long journey into life in a submarine. (Our guide spoke rather fast as she had to cram in lots of info.)
Beware, visitors with leg problems may have difficulties manuvering the two sets of steep and narrow steps as well as several foot-high, oval-shaped chamber doors they have to climb thru.
FYI: Service animals, we've found out the hard way with our daughter's guide dog, won't be able to access the submarine becoz of these steep steps. Attempting it can prove dangerous for them.
We feel this fact should be made clear in websites/map, and to everyone inquiring about the tour.
PS: My husband ended up skipping the tour to care for her guide dog. (We were told we could file for his $12 refund, but we didn't have time to do so.)

USS Becuna was built in 1944, made 5 war patrols in the Pacific and sank two Japanese tankers. It then was stationed in New London CT for training purposes from 1951 till its decommissioning in 1969. The sub is in beautiful shape, it was modernized extensively after WWII so don't expect this sub to be an untouched WWII era sub but it is definitely worth visiting.

This is a rare opportunity to get into a submarine. A must visit attraction with a great tourist guide that knows every little detail about the ship.

Amazing experience! Karl our guide in the submarine was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. He was able to answer all my questions and clearly knew a lot about the submarine. Definitely worth going to so that you can learn about it.
