Sullivan Trail Inn & Suites reviews
16If I can give minus 0 stars I would. This place is horrendous, dirty pillow cases, broken table, dirty bathroom, mildew and cigarette smell, coffee maker dirty and the bag of coffee is old as your grandma. The people at the front desk are like aliens they looking at you like they don’t know what you are talking about. They keep repeating the same answer over and over. I do not recommend this place unless you looking for a cheap spot and you don’t care about anything!
Staff was unfriendly
Rooms smelled old and the furniture inside was disgusting
I stayed with my 4 kids and every night we got bit
They have bed bugs
This place is nasty and needs to be shut down
Room was very dirty. My wife spent $35 on cleaning supplies and cleaned the room herself. The cabin needs to be updated as well.
I saw pictures of this place when in was brand new on Priceline.com, however the place is funk now. I had to cancel reservation. The place smelled of cigarette and the bed looked used not cleaned the room had an old moldy odor the coffee mug look dirty as if it hadn't cleaned in weeks. And I thought I was coming to a place with kitchenette based on the pictures I saw. There is only room with kitchenette. It was disastrous.
Not sure whats wrong with people giving bad reviews to this place. I almost canceled my reservation after reading all reviews and thank god I didnt canceled. Let me start with this, its not 5 star hotel and you are not paying for same. So keep expectations aligned to how much you are paying to stay here and which is most cheapest in Pocono mountains.
Now about room condition, it was good I wont say excellent or best but good. Room were clean and everything from chairs to tables and carpet was clean. Though carpet is old and doesn't give you good vibes. TV table drawers were not opening properly because side rails were broken. Chair cushion could would have seen better days and need some updates.
Bathroom were very clean and on par with other $150-200 night costly hotels (stayed in couple in Poconos). All towels were clean and spotless.
AC was way up but they have remote stoved in side table drawers.
Bed were comfy and linens were clean and fresh no stains or anything. Pillows were clean but they need to replace as they are not in good condition.
Check in experience- owner/staff lives in behind offce so just ring bell. Good staff, even came to help me without asking when I was struggling to open door.
Things I didnt like.
Smells when you open door, its because there is no cross ventilation causes room to smell different, some room freshener would help. We found used tea bag near coffee mug.
Door locks need to be replaced they worked but changing would be good idea.
Overall highly recommend at this low price, rest check the pictures for getting good idea. We stayed for two nights.
Room smelled disgusting! Both beds had sheets with big cigarette burns.non smoking hotel.microwave not cleaned, desk chair all stained and disgusting.long time residents living here too.disgusting.do not recommend!
I wish I could give it 0 stars. Its absolutely DISGUSTING! As soon as you walk in the room, it reeks! The bathroom was horrifying. The staff was no help either. I would never stay there ever again.
You really should not go there. Their web site is a complete lie. Filthy. A/C up high in the wall with no way to adjust. It was set on fan only. Three lights in bathroom. Two were out. Pillows flat. Cases gray. Sheets gray. Carpet not vacuumed.
We were planning to spend a couple of nights at the motel. Once we checked into the room, we were shocked by the strong smell of urine in the room. The second room smelled even worse. Disgusting odor, dirty carpet. Stay away from this place if you can afford anything else.
Terrible, The rooms stunk and were poorly cleaned. False advertisement online compared to in person. After a long travel I am very disappointed.
Upon arrival, I checked in which was fine. I reserved the "cottage". The stench was of mold, I'm assuming from over time the carpets getting wet because they have an outdoor pool. The couches were filthy. The front desk gave me my money back because there was no way I could stay there with my children.
It's gross. Bathroom is moldy. Sheets are dirty. Smells like an ashtray. Wouldn't stay here again if I were paid to.
Avoid this place.
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings and prime location to get in and out off the Interstate 80. Clean rooms for the lowest prices in the area.
Sometimes you can believe all the reviews that you read online they had some tens and they had some 2 but I would give it a seven because I felt safe and it was quiet and the people at the desk for very nice
Beware! Our experience with management is a pretty laughable joke. I called to cancel my reservation on Fri 23Apr2021 at 3: 05 pm and spoke to Heather, got disconnected. Called back and spoke to Martha where I cancelled my reservation a second time, then got disconnected. Called back and got Martha again until I was ultimately disconnected again. Called again and spoke to Stephanie while I had the Better Business Bureau on the line and she pretended to help us cancel it for the third or fourth time. I see now I still got charged 90 bucks even after “cancelling”. Will be disputing with the credit card company and I’m very happy to say that the Better Business Bureau has officially opened a case with Sullivan Trail Inn & Suites and BBB was looking very closely at how they handled my situation. Watch out!
