Sullivan's Steakhouse reviews
16My wife talked about how much she loved the food here and I’ve never been so I surprised her with a date night and brought her here. We arrived early on our reservation and were seated immediately because the restaurant was fairly empty but we didn’t see a server for 20 minutes. We sat there for that time not even receiving any water so we left. We’ll never return here again.
I have the best time every time I come here from the food to the drinks. Marilyn is the best bartender! She makes the best drinks and always gives great customer service. My favorite appetizer is the cheesesteak egg rolls.
I took my mother here 7/16/22 for her birthday and let me tell you the food was amazing. My mother and myself really enjoyed ourselves, we have been to Sullivan's years ago not at this location but another. Sullivan's have still kept up with good service and food. We will be back here in the near future, as I am typing this i am having my leftovers for lunch and dinner. We love this place and highly recommend it for special occasions.
We went to Sullivans tonight to celebrate my husbands birthday and didn’t have the best experience. Our server (wish I knew his name) did an good job, but I ordered a steak that came out over cooked and if I’m paying $50 for a steak I would like to enjoy it so I let my server know. Without hesitation he told me he would take care of it but next thing I know another server named Justin, who was apparently the manager, came over and asked what my issue was. I explained that I ordered a medium rare steak but it came out over done. His response was “ it looked pretty rare to me” I explained that 4 other people also ordered medium rare steaks that were properly cooked but unfortunately mine was cooked much more than theirs, and again not what I had ordered. Justin asked what I wanted him to do about it so I said please either make me a new steak so I can have dinner or take it off the bill. Without saying anything he walked away … well I thought he was making a new steak but I was wrong because about ten min later, as he was walking past my table said I took it off the check. I’ve never been to a so called “high end” restaurant where this was handled so unprofessionally. Needless to say I definitely won’t be going back since I never even got to eat dinner this time around!
Very disappointing…came here for a girls night out for Happy hour. The bar was not crowded yet the service was horrible! Food and drinks took so long to come out.
Drinks were horrible- we had to send back a few times and they still did not get it right. Cheesesteak eggrolls came out burned. We didn’t even send back because it took too long to receive the food. We left very disappointed and went to another KoP restaurant with great service, food, and drinks. The server had a major attitude.
I will not be returning anytime soon- it’s ashame used to be a great place. They need to keep up- many other great restaurants nearby that provide great food, drinks and service
We went here for our anniversary and the service was great. They decorated our table with rose petals which was a nice touch. The manager came, opened our bottle, and let us know to have any of them come over to fill our glasses. The service is why I'm giving it 4 stars but the food was not worth that much. We had the American wagyu and was told it was suppose to cut almost like butter. We've had wagyu before and this steak tasted and felt like any other NY strip steak. Even though it was American wagyu, it obviously isn't going to be exactly like A5 wagyu from Japan, however, It wasn't worth the money to be honest since there was no distinct difference in quality of meat. I would have rather had a filet. Overall, great service but food not so great.
We aren’t frequent flyers but Marilyn always remembers us and greets us with a big smile whenever we come to the bar for happy hour- which is notably one of the best happy hours in KOP.
My boyfriend and I absolutely love the experience and food whenever visit, and the service is always great.
Do yourself a favor and definitely check the bar out, especially if Marilyn is there. She is awesome and makes the best drinks!
My food experience at Sullivan's steakhouse was below subpar to say the least. The quality of the steak was very bad. It was overcooked more than what we asked. The plating was absolutely horrible. I am beyond surprised and disappointed by what Sullivan's offered us on a plate. I have seen better plating at one star restaurants and diners where they offer the worst type of steak. The broccoli was bland and had nothing added to it. However the menu states that it's a vegetable medley and there's no medley whatsoever. I was served potatoes instead of the Jasmine rice that I actually offered. I honestly have to say I have no desire whatsoever to visit another Sullivan's restaurant anywhere in the world. To have paid over $100 for two plates that taste and looked as though it was being served at a Chili's or Fridays was very disappointing.
My family of 3 dined here. The foods were not satisfactory. Our appetizer, calamari, was way too sweet. Ribeye steak was okay but that is it, considering it was $50. For fresh broccoli that was extra $11, they just served the whole bunch without cutting it at all - I expected something better than that. Brussels sprouts were too salty. I liked the crab stuffed shrimp though.
Also when we were greeted, we said it's our anniversary and we were told that desserts would be on the house - well, we were not offered any and actually we didn't care as we, sadly, didn't have high expectations any more.
Finally, after we were seated in a booth, another group of people was seated right next to us and they kept pushing the seat which made us uncomfortable. This didn't have to happen as there were plenty of empty booths as it was after 8pm.
Anyway, overall disappointing experience
We have been coming to seeing Marilyn at the bar for months now. I have not found anyone who can make a drink on the spot for you with such experiences effort. Everything is ALWAYS on point and she ALWAYS goes above and beyond for her customers without any questions asked. It is also why I have her number on speed dial so when I know we’re in a situation and I know we’re not getting the services we expect we can reach out to her and she’s always ready to go! I’ve never met a more genuine, real and kind hearted person in my life. Her positive energy is congestive and just elevates onto her customers. You can’t not be happier when you’re around her. I would recommend her a thousand times over! I love you Marilyn. Keep killing it my girl! You’re amazing ️️
I am only giving Sullivan's 2 stars as opposed to 1 star because our server was pleasant and attentive. We went there for the business lunch which on the surface appeared to be a good deal at less than twenty dollars. Both my wife and I ordered the 8 oz Delmonico steak. Both of our steaks came out somewhat overcooked and tasteless I probably should have sent mine back but the kitchen was very slow despite the restaurant not being crowded at all and I did not feel like waiting for another steak.
The real shock came when the bill came and found out that refills on iced tea (not the Long Island type) were not free and we got charged 10.50 for the 3 glasses of iced tea that my wife had. The iced teas were 90% + ice and very little tea. Neither of us had ever seen pay per glass for soft drinks at a high end restaurant. In an area that is as restaurant competitive as the King of Prussia area is it is a bad practice to say the least.
I had my son’s graduation dinner here and from top to bottom they made it a great experience for my son and all that attended the event! From the Event Mgr, Kristen to the Restaurant Mgr, George to the waitresses Heather and Fallon their service was unmatched and the food was delectable!
Absolutely awful! Sent $78 steak back 2x for temperature. I ordered med rare and got well done the first time and cold rare the second time. It was literally ice cold. We were still charged for our meal. The craziest part of the meal was the drinks didn’t even have ice and it was 96 degrees outside.
The food was delicious. I had a 22oz cowboy cut ribeye, and a great martini. Reason for only 3 stars is very slow service. Dinner was almost 3 hours. Although the bar has been updated, the dining room felt a bit dated.
A friend recommended this restaurant I did not regret it.it was amazing my waiter name was Tina she was amazing amazing the food was amazing the only reason why I gave it a 4 star because there is always room for improvement. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Sorry the food was so good I didn't remember to take the pictures before I start eating.
Not bad food but not cheap. The Ahi Tuna is great and the sides of brussel sprouts, three cheese mac, and white cheddar au gratin potatoes are pretty good. Make sure you get the complementary sauces that go with any steak you get. They are fantastic.
