Tacos Y Tequila City Center reviews
18So it's many things that are not what I expected. 1. The food is not Mexican (Flavor). 2. Drinks are neither good nor tasted like lime juice straight up! 3. Service we told the waiter 1 drink and brought 2 they were nasty. 4. Drinks were on the happy hour price but when it came at the end it wasn't and that was at 5: 45 pm. I was passing by Allentown PA, next time we are not even passing by this area again! Don't recommend it at all! By the way I'm Mexican/ Puerto Rican. Suggestions the wing top them off at least with cilantro / or Chile poblano and they will be more presentable!
Food was okay, but the service was horrible. I sat at the bar and kept having to ask for the things that I had ordered. I would’ve stayed for the tequila (they have a decent selection to choose from) but the bartender was no where to be seen for a very long time.
Made a reservation several weeks ago. The lady on the phone was very rude and short when I had questions about my reservation. We were eating our meal and was abruptly told we had to finish up and leave because we could only sit at the table 45 minutes. Nothing was said when I made the reservation. We were basically told we had to leave because people were waiting. Our server was amazing but the experience was less than pleasant and I’ll be hesitant to come back again if this is how customers are treated. It’s a shame because we were going to order more drinks and dessert. Do better
Best chips and salsa I've ever had! Fast service, despite being short staffed when we were there. Great food and a very nice outdoor seating area.
I absolutely LOOOOVE this place & not just for the drinks! The food is so delicious and very inviting! This is my favorite place to either eat in for a fun night out or take out when I have a sudden craving! YUM! Highly recommended.
We came here on whim as we were in the area for a wedding the next day. Food was authentic, fresh, and highly flavorful. We were also pleasantly surprised with live music, which created an ambience that felt like we were in Mexico City in addition to the hip, but casual atmosphere. Fantastic Margaritas and Mojitos as well. Be sure to try the Grapefruit and the Elderflower Margarita - it’s a sleeper hit. Would definitely come back and highly recommend.
Poor quality across the board, order was wrong several times, drink was decent but otherwise won't be returning
Even though I was the only customer in the restaurant when I first arrived, the waitstaff was quite slow to even initially arrive at my table. The waiter acted like he couldn't understand my questions about the menu. I had to repeat them sometimes more than twice. Also, while the food was good, it took a long time for it to arrive. I was unable to finish my meal, due to the amount of time that this process took. I am not pleased with the service at all.
2 days ago while in the neighborhood I had my second visit here. It was an absolute pleasure. Mikey was our server & provided exceptional service for the second time in a row.
The ambience was very warm & welcoming. The food was delicious. I absolutely love the complimentary salsa here! I highly recommend stopping in.
The food was very good. I got the pina loka fajitas. My friend got the Texas fajitas. The margaritas were even better. Best part.it was Happy Hour! So I got a jumbo for a steal. My new happy hour place. The service was good too. We sat outside. It was breezy. Nice view except for the occasional loud music from the cars.
When you visit, know you will get a mix of experiences both good and bad. The waiter was good, the male host/manager could be better. And that was the trend for the visit at Tacos y tequila.
The starter was ok, my friends burrito was great. But the chef threw a whole bag of salt in my chicken and spinach! I couldn't eat it at all and there was no offer for a replacement though the waiter communicated to his boss. Very disappointed cause I was very hungry. Anyway had to do with the coconut mojito which was really good and went home to make dinner.
There was a good musician playing. Very nice voice, instruments and sense of humor. Generally a lovely atmosphere if you get to eat what you ordered.
Good drinks when they have the alcohol to make them, salsa ice cold. Not a fan of ice cold salsa. The customer service is excellent
I think the owner is not the same the food was horrible I ordered the NY stake well done and they gave it to me with blood I told the girl I changed it and it came worse with burnt blood and fishy also the dish had wedges and they gave me fries to he gravy smelled like raw egg not coming back oh and not counting the flies flying around you sucked. The site is not the same
Second time eating here. The hostess disappeared and never came back. Someone else came to sit us. This time inside and next to the bar area, and what an eye opener. The manager was condescending to his staff, rude and unapologetic. The wait staff seemed tense for the most part bartender seemed green and confused at times, but he had no assistance. Drinks were good, but they took a good while. There was a complaint from a customer outside and manager yelled at staff, "Are they drinking it? " Then I don't care! " It made b the night uncomfortable. Rice was awesome, tacos were ok. This place is beautiful, but I feel b the manager needs to be replaced and staff retrained, it can be so v much more. Oh if v you pay by tip options are 35% tip or more set up in machine, that's really a slimy thing to do.
Food was ice cold, and had no flavor. Ordered appetizers and they came with the food. Waiter blatantly did not care/want to be there. He did not write anything down, then got our whole order wrong. He was hiding in the kitchen area with the other waiters. Menu is very limited. Shame this establishment has the name of the Easton one which is far superior. Also menu prices are not accurate.
We were really worried about previous reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. We came in between lunch and dinner so it wasn't packed. Our server Katelyn was attentive and assured us majority of menu was gluten free. Salsa was really good, chips would be even better if warmed. We both got street tacos, chicken, pork and barbacoa. All great and fresh. Side salsas for the tacos were great too. Was super worried about all the bad reviews on the rice because I love rice with my tacos and I thought the rice was great. Not hard and dry like others said. We are out of towners but would totally come back if we were in AAllentown. Nice decor and bar area too.
Ended up here one night with my mom so awesome. Live music and huge nachos. Mom loved her margarita.
Fantastic food! Received a bit of attitude from the host when looking for a table of 2, and considering the amount of availability I'm unsure why. The waitress was fantastic though! Worth the money.
