Tattooed Mom, Philadelphia PA

Tattooed Mom deserves a minus 5 but I am forced to give it at least one star. Our party of four drove there from Towson Maryland on a very cold and windy day to eat their highly touted vegan Philly cheese steak sandwiches, which were overpriced but not bad tasting while they remained hot. Compared with the vegan cheese steaks I have eaten in Pittsburgh, I would give them a generous 1 out of 5. So I can’t recommend the food at TMs. Trying to dine there proved to be one of the worst experiences of our combined lives that total over 200 years. Specifically, they expected us to eat outside and we were forced to wait outside while they took forever to prepare the sandwiches. This restaurant is a disgrace to the City of Brotherly Love. It would better serve its purpose as a food truck business, combined with tattoo parlor where the staff can poke customers with needles instead of forcing them to suffer in the cold.

Very cool place and with an affordable price! The burger was just amazing but the fries were OK. I ordered the BBQ fries and they were too spicy. I love spicy food but it was so spicy I couldn’t eat it, I don’t know if they got my order wrong lol Despite that, amazing experience.

Great food! For pretty much every meat-based meal there's a vegetarian/vegan version. The outdoor dining setup is sweet too!

Friggin awesome.everything was delicious and the vegan wings tasted just like regular chicken tenders.also appreciated the random toys and candy that came with the takeout order.

Asked if they had Diet Coke, they said yes. Asked if they had refills, they had no idea. They served a flat and strange version of Diet Coke. I went to the waiter and told him that it wasn’t Diet Coke and it was some sort of off brand Diet Coke and that I would like to return it. He said he would throw it out for me… standing their awkwardly I asked if I could please get a refund for it.he answered like he’s never ever heard of a refund before… I felt very awkward! Then he said to go upstairs and tell them it’s flat and they will “hook me up” with something else… I asked please can I just have a refund… took them about 10 min to process a refund through the app they use in person to take orders. Then a short black haired lady served our food and ran away… not knowing which were vegan or real meat, we went down stairs to ask her and she said “it’s written on it! ” Her hand writing was like a 3rd graders and we couldn’t read it. She finally went up stairs to show us. She was rude and should fine a job that doesn’t require her poor customer service skills.

All in all, it’s a dirty place ran by a bunch of hipsters. Won’t be going back.

Always love the vegan options and the atmosphere of this place. I was happy to have the staff check my vaccine card and matching ID at the door as well.

Great vegan food! Tried the vegan corn dog, and vegan wings (wow!). Huge portions of fries and tater tots. I enjoyed the outdoor seating area.

I love this place so much. Literally a free graffiti gallery and an awesome bar all in one.
They have quite the range of cocktails for a bar operating during a pandemic and I, as a customer, appreciate that.
They have really good vegan options on their menu too. Feels good to have just as many options as folks who eat meat. All in all, I def recommend this place!

Used to be my favorite vegan spot in Philly, and I always raved about them having the best vegan cheesesteak, vegan cheesy tots, and vegan cheesy waffle fries. However, their menu has definitely changed since pandemic. I was told that the vegan cheese is now made in-house.it's disgusting, inedible really. It used to be this amazing vegan cheese whiz with jalapenos, now it's a gross chunky gravy. I added like 10 packs of siracha, and it still didn't help. I can understand not wanting to order from unreliable suppliers, but PLEASEEE MAKE A BETTER VEGAN CHEESE!

Great food and great drinks. The pickle fried vegan sandwich was delicious along with the tater tots!

Had the worst food poisoning of my life here. I couldn’t see straight and blacked out. I don’t drink alcohol and I ordered a meat burger.

Went for lunch two days in a row! The vegan Tennessee chicken sandwich and the vegan wings were amazing, and the kids loved the vegan corn dogs. We loved the art on the walls. The fries and beyond burger were ok, wouldn't order them again.

I ate some of the chicken and something didn't sit right. I got pretty sick later on. Also I agree that the bathrooms can get pretty gross here. The atmosphere was cool though so I'll give it 2 stars.

Great Philly cheesesteak, good value for price and good beverages. Cute little spot on south street!
