Very unprofessional. Had to call them over 10 times and send multiple emails just to get one question answered. They seem to have no idea what they are doing and take advantage of their renters in the process. Wish I’d never rented from them.

I rented with TempleTown Realty for two years. Between that time I have seen so many leasing agents come and go. The staff seems incompetent. Maintaince is non existence. If your temple student stick with The View/ University Village find another realty. Property from my room was stolen when the only people who had my room key was Temple Town. They don't honor lease agreement

These people are ridiculous. I was so excited to rent with them but it was a nightmare. My ceiling was leaking in my bathroom the most disgusting dark brown water for a whole week, and they had maintenance come to fix it three times before they got it right. They don't respond to maintenance requests unless you threaten to sue them or stop paying rent. They don't give you twenty-four hours before they come into your home. When they were trying to rent it out to the next tenant, they were coming into the apartment almost every day with new prospective tenants for months starting in January. Their employees do not act like they care about their job, and they have a really high turn over. It took them almost two months to give me my security deposit back, and still tried to charge me $200 for cleaning fees even though I cleaned everything thoroughly, took pictures before I left, even though they never sent me and itemized list, and cleaning services do not cost $200 for a studio bathroom and kitchen. Don't rent with them.

Hi TempleTown,

Went on a showing earlier this week with Will and he got me sold on the property located on Susquehanna ave. Please disregard my friends' review below; Hussain Dalwi. Hussain was pmsing that day, we had a 10am appt but didn't show up til 10: 45, it was our fault because Hussain overslept.

Original: 5 stars
Update: 3 stars
[[[This review is only for the touring/leasing part of their business]]] The house touring I had with TempleTown Realty was great! I'm a picky person so I was asking a lot of questions, and most of them were adequately answered. There were times where the leasing agent did not know the answer, but got back to me with an answer at a later time after asking. It would have been better if the leasing agent had been a bit more knowledgeable about the places, but it was forgivable. The leasing agent I had was extremely friendly and accommodating. I asked for multiple showings of different apartments, and he was really helpful with it all; always had a smile on his face and willing to be of service. His name is David Bush for those wondering; I recommend setting up tours with him.

However, organization seems to be lacking at TempleTown. There were multiple instances where I was talking with the leasing agent and he did not quite know what apartments were available or not. And when on the website, their information is outdated and some information is actually inaccurate (I think they copied and pasted the description information from one unit to another without checking). In addition to this, there is a lack of pictures of some of their places. These things could be improved upon.

I have not lived at any of TempleTown's properties yet. This is simply the beginning stages of my interactions with them.

Update: Originally gave 5 stars. I lived at one of their 1 bedroom units on Diamond for a full year. The apartment itself was not terrible, but it wasn’t nice. Paint was peeling, cracks everywhere, warped floors, drafty windows, old appliances. Move in condition was dirty and things from the old tenant were left. They definitely did not clean it before I moved in. If they did, it was shoddy work. There was a leak on the ceiling before I moved in that was supposed to be fixed by the time I moved in. It was fixed, but the problem started again and I ended up having significant water coming down in my kitchen. Templetown/maintenance was mildly responsive. They told me they talked to the tenant above me and resolved the issue (improper use of bathroom which makes me think it was toilet water since the water was dirty looking- gross), but my ceiling was left damp and probably had mold growing in there. This was in my kitchen! Their maintenance isn’t easy to get a hold of, and it’s hit or miss. I requested my bathtub nozzles to be fixed bc the hot water nozzle wasn’t working well. When maintenance got done with the work order, I didn’t have any hot water at all and water pressure was down to a trickle. There were cracks everywhere and despite me being clean, I saw cockroaches. Not water bugs, but cockroaches, coming through cracks. Mosquitoes came in the apartment during the summer because the windows aren’t set properly. Other reviews that say they nitpick and try to charge you for things is true, as well. I was paying $665 for the unit which was ridiculous. It was a cheap option compared to the $900 rent you see at other places, but living there is not ideal for the price you pay. From my experience, I’d recommend not renting here. You’ll most likely have a bad experience with them. The “touring” process was great, but they’re salesman and you should be aware your experience with the leasing agent won’t reflect your living condition.

These people are trying to steal your security deposits for every little thing. They threaten to charge us $200 (per roommate) for staying a couple hours after our lease ends at 11 a.m. Because it will hold up their "cleaning crew" that won't even show up until night time. They rarely answer the phone and when they do, they treat you like you're a disturbance. They also barely send services for our maintenance requests. Employees literally sit around, twiddle their thumbs, and take money from tenants. Most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE, YOU'RE BETTER OFF SOMEWHERE ELSE.

DO NOT RENT FROM TEMPLETOWN. Horrendous business, entirely unprofessional, maintenance is practically nonexistent, and every person I have ever interacted with through Templetown has been an ass. Renting through them made for a terrible school year. If I could give 0 stars I would. Renting through them will only make your needlessly annoying.

DON'T RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. It's nearly impossible to get in contact with them and when I was locked out of my house they tried to charge me $175, for me to go pick up a spare. 175.to get into my house? The guy seemed like he was making it up because he told me I had to pay in cash up front? Mind you I'm a college student who doesn't have $175 laying around and they really were just going to leave me stranded outside, alone in NORTH PHILADELPHIA. And if you ever need them to come to fix something you can forget it, my house is falling apart and infested with mice and bugs, when we told them this they put glue traps in my house, which are seriously inhumane and just to do this task we had to wait a good couple of weeks and after they never followed up. If you can find a different company to rent from I STRONGLY advise. *I created an account just to write this review*

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
The lack of intelligence and skills within these employees is baffling. They do not know how to speak to their residents nor do they know anything about their own company! They are rude and disrespectful and nothing ever gets done! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!

Templetown consistently violates tenants' rights, can't uphold their end of the lease, and treat their maintenance staff like gum on the bottom of a shoe. There are plenty of rental agencies in the area that are better managed!
