I’m so thankful for this place! My teen daughter was seeing a therapist somewhere else and it was disastrous! After my daughter wanted to switch therapists, which I had to get a court order bc old therapist couldn’t accept she wasn’t helping my daughter, they appointed Thaxton Wellness. Jennifer is terrific with my daughter! We are finally making great strides and actually solving the issues at hand! Thank you and your whole team who really care about my daughter and her wellbeing

A honest Zero Star Review. Ms. Thaxton was specifically appointed to conduct reunification therapy, and 60 days thereafter, report back to the judge. Ms, Thaxton immediately attempted to altered the judge’s order, and expecting me to pay for an additional therapist, at $140 per session, plus copays for three other people. Whether or not it was that she didn’t have the time herself of that the other therapist had more experience. I tried to be accommodating and offered to pay for one session with the addition therapist. But really she couldn’t handle the sessions alone and had no idea how my son would react. I never heard from her again, and not one session with my son. No bill either. When I read her report, I could not believe how the lie filed report she sent to the court, tells a completely different story than our sessions and our emails. She is an unethical liar. I had the feeling she was going to lie the moment she stoped documenting multiple witness’s accounts of child abuse. I think she needs therapy herself and a recap on ethics.

If she is ever court ordered to be involved in your case, I recommend you do as I did and have someone with you, but still experts like Ms. Thaxton are believed by the judge before anyone else. That’s why I would not recommend her to anyone.

Thaxton has a beautiful building and a very peaceful atmosphere. The counselors and therapists are professional and personable. They also offer massage, Reiki and yoga.

Not only is Thaxton Holistic Wellness Center a great place to relax, be at peace, and problem solve, they also put those fancy river rocks in the bathroom sink! Mindful sessions, down to earth staff, and very above average sinks. 5 out of 5:)
