The Adult and Continuing Education Center at YCST reviews
13Haven't even been to the school but they deserved big fat ZERO to start with. Contacted them about the cdl training program since I just got my permit, out of 15 phone calls I made only 1time they answered and told to co tact Carol but she never answer. I don't recommend this place, find somewhere else.
Administration is horrible, no communication & they just don’t care about anyone else’s time.they will string you along for months & change things with no notice.administration constantly lies, they have no idea what they are doing.administration will not allow adult ed teachers to fail anyone no matter how bad their grades are or how much time they miss because they are more concerned with the school’s reputation over quality education.also not to mention the good reviews here are only because teachers gave good grades/extra credit in turn for good reviews.
I am in the phlebotomy program and absolutely LOVED it! Such a smooth process to receive my certificate.amazing teacher and classmates.
I will recommend anyone to go here it is so professional and also the teacher was amazing and a great person that will be M.r Alvarez i will miss everyone good luck.
Mr. Alvarez is a great teacher who is very caring for all of his students. He makes it fun and easy to learn Phlebotomy. I highly recommend York Tech’s Adult Education program.
Mr. Alvarez is a great phlebotomy teacher, always ready to help and teach us tricks for real life situations. He makes classes both educational and fun, even through more boring things like bookwork. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and I’m so glad I made the decision to go back to school.
Had a driving instructor who constantly screamed at me over miniscule infractions, and was also extremely rude as well. Not recommended to take driving lessons here.
UPDATE: The said driving instructor made me go WAY under the speed limit, which is even more dangerous than speeding. He would flip like a pancake on a pan even if I went slightly over (ex.: 2 MPH), and almost made me crash due to his yelling.
Terrible for adult education. Your are treated like a child. 0 hands on. Once enrolled, student is no longer an adult. Spend your money elsewhere. ABC is an ADULT school. No amenities for students. Faculty is not even concerned. Do Not Enroll!
Do not trust anyone who goes here.they will throw you under the bus.i was a junior at tech up until 10/24/19.three days before that a threat was released.the next day i was pulled into a conversation by three of my peers about the situation the day before.well they went to the admin saying things that were untrue and i ended up getting suspended which turned into expulsion; I was in the special ed classes there and they do not have enough support there for people with anxiety and depression.the students are very rude.the admin are terrible, but other staff are amazing. I was very excited since it is my junior year and i was in early childhood, i was getting all the needed hours for my CDA certs and i was soooo close and now i lost all of that due to the students that threw me under the bus.
IF YOUR CHILD HAS A 504 OR IEP DONT SEND THEM
One of the best schools to get an education on your future careers. All the teachers are great and nice. The staff is also gerat. I highly recommend you come here.
Not a good option for the cdl program. Sent a driver there to get license and it was nothing but confusion. Not enough teachers per students, always switching who was there, having students teach other students. Brought up a lot of problems to the people running the program. Asked them to make it reflect right in the price and they did not want to do so. Bottom line is there are better options in the area DCS is well worth the few hundred more. Hacc also has a better program running. If your looking for your cdl there are better options. This school is just looking for the easy money from people being sent by the state.
Stay at your home school this school probably has the worse academics and is very dirty. Not to mention the administration are so backwards about little things. Also once you graduate have fund dealing with getting your transcript sent somewhere lol. Only reason people left 5 stars with no review is because teachers were giving extra credit points for it.
