The Allentown Fairgrounds reviews
21First time to visit and we loved it. Definitely would go again. Lots to sample. Produce, meat, moonshine and wine. Fun time.
Felt so good to be back at the Great Allentown Fair this year. Have so many memories from my childhood. I'm blessed to be able to share and make more memories with my daughter. Look forward to it every year.
Went there for an indoor garage sale. Very easy for parking and venue was clean and organized. Too early to eat but the food consession smelled wonderful!
Great place the farmer market. Although prices are high it's very clean and busy. Open only Thursday thru Saturday. Lots of food vendors to sit and eat.
Seating needs spread a tad, so close was on top on the person next to me.parking needs to be figured out. Other than that was only there for a concert which a was great!
Great old time farmers market. Great selection of meats, fresh vegetables and many home made dishes. I like that it's open Friday's and Saturday's.
Didn't have the opportunity to enter this year because I had my puppy with me. I mentioned that he was a serviced dog but he still wasn't allowed. Very disappointed. People need to inform themselves regarding service dogs.
Get there early and plan your day and you will have a good time. There should be more areas to sit especially in Ag Hall.
Went out for the Allentown Fair. Had a great time with our one son and his family. Glad to see it back in action after last year with all of the covid shutdowns.
This year sucked.because we spent full price as we have always but it was raining and everything was closed.no rides at all and they only had a fue vendors selling stuff.i have went there every year and love it but sorry to say, was very dissapointed this year.wish I would of saved my money n went some where else.
A lot of amazing food! Restaurants, food trucks, and the usual fair trailers filled the lot. Food trucks are supreme quality, with a mix of card and cash only spots. Went here on a sunday for the AJR concert and it was popping! Great show, well organized and behaved
Everything was extremely expensive. I just cane home from wildwood and spent less money on food. All in all it was fun just way too pricey.
Happy I got to choose from a good selection of beef bones for my dog & order take out from Dan's BBQ Pit.
Only advise - the staff at Dan's needs to get it together. Last wknd I ordered a chicken finger basket with wedges & paid $7.99 (the container was filled with wedges), this wknd I ordered the same thing & was charged $10 - got home & only had 8 wedges in the container. HIGHLY UPSET and A WASTE OF MY MONEY. Dan's needs to get it together or I won't be back.
Once a year before the Labor Day holiday we attend the Allentown Fair. Nice to get out and walk around, eat good food, play games and watch other brave people get on the rides, maybe go to a good concert. Very nice event at attend.
Always enjoy going to tbe farmer's market. Some much variety of anything you could want. You will always find something. Hot foods or desserts always an impulse buy.
Family fun is here at the fair. Cash or credit at the entrance. Cash only for ride tickets. I prefer cashless payment options, which is where the 3 out of 5 stars is from. Provide credit card payment options, Allentown Fair. Don’t make your guests use ATMs with additional fees.
This review is based during the Covid19 pandemic. I have never seen so many people so ignorant of the reality of the world. 1 out of a 100 people wore a mask. Regardless, the fair itself is fun to go to. There is a pet show, petting "zoo" area, lots of fair games and more. I highly recommend uncle nicks candy stand. It's so much fun, only costs 25 cents and you can win so many candy bars. It's the best part of the fair. The food is also quite good.
We had a ball at the Allentown fair today. There were a good number of people there but it didn't feel crowded at all for most of the day. We stayed until about 10pm and enjoyed every minute. The magic show was terrific, the performing dog show was heartwarming and amazing, the people-watching is very entertaining and the very expensive food was delicious. Try the jumbo Off tha' Hook fish sandwich, a delicious bargain at 5 bucks. Bring your own bottles of water as there seems to be a short supply of vendors who sell it (at $3 a pop!) You must try the peach dumpling with cinnamon ice cream. It's a hot/cold, sweet, succulent, juicy, scrumptiously delicious treat and a good buy considering where else you gonna get one? It will haunt me in my dreams. When night falls, the concessions offering games and rides are a whirl of color, shape and sound that is truly the hallmark of a great town fair and you can't take a bad picture here. It's clean, well-planned, the women's toilets, attended by a matron, are sparkling and fresh, so please be nice and leave a tip in her basket. Ag Hall is an absolute delight, filled with all sorts of crafts, foods, toys, Allentown memorabilia, all displaying award ribbons and citations for good entries. Absolutely charming. The freshly scrubbed well-fed farm animals are perhaps my favorite part of the whole Allentown Fair because they have been lovingly raised and cared for by warm, intelligent, farm families, 4-H club members and animal lovers. Cows, sheep, pigs, goats are inches from you, so endearing and wholesome you'll want to take them all home. They are watched over by very knowledgeable people who truly care and know their animals. These experts can answer any question you may have about their beautiful animals. If you bring your kids please teach them to be gentle, quiet and respectful and not scream like savages around these animals that are docile, intelligent and absolutely wonderful. There's something for everyone at the Great Allentown Fair.
Had a great time at the Allentown Fair. Lots of people, lots of rides, lots of games and food. The only down side was a booth located not to far from one of the main entrances. This booth had a series of Confederate flags displayed around it. I whipped past it, once I saw the flags, so I was unable to hear what the person on the megaphone was saying.
Went to the Allentown fair today and my daughter had so much fun! From playing games riding a pony and going on rides it was worth the money. Not to crowded between the hour of 1pm and 5pm we enjoyed the fair and the food was great
