I enjoyed my time at the beauty institute with Imani. She deep conditioned my hair bringing my curls back to life and then gave me a nice cut. After that she diffused my hair and my curls have not looked this good since years ago. Thank you so much.

I was nervous! First time getting hair done at beauty school. But, Jacqui was great. I got full highlights. She took her time, making sure to do a great job. The end result was GREAT!

Honestly one of the best experiences with my hair. I went in nervous because my hair was being done by a student. I usually box dye my hair, and wanted something different, and got a balayage. I had an appointment with Shannon. She is absolutely AMAZING. The teacher took her time too, to make sure everything was being done right. Shannon took her time and made sure everything was precise and perfect. She was extremely focused, while still having a conversation with me. My hair turned out perfect. I am over the moon with how it turned out. I 110% recommend going to Shannon. She truly is amazing.

Don’t waste your time going here. I cannot even find the words to describe how bad their service is and don’t want to waste my time to write. That’s it

I love my new friends at the beauty institute! I was greeted by Danny at the desk, who was so helpful. Then I had the most wonderful stylist Nayla. Mrs. D and my stylist did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier with my cut and color. I will be back for my touch up, thank you guys!

I am beyond satisfied with my visit at this salon. Roberta was my hairstylist, she washed, dyed & cut my hair. The teacher Ashley was also amazing, she helps and works with the students so well. Thank You

Everyone there was so nice and very professional.

There are several reasons I got to hate this salon/school.
First, my appointment was at 11am and they had a delay opening at 11: 30am. However, I never got a notice about the delay in advance and waited by 12pm to get the service by the student I wanted. Time is valuable and no one can waste someone else time. Also, the work isn't highly performed not only by the student but also by the teacher. I totally get that they are students and the job they do won't be perfect blah blah (all stupid reasons). However, come on, so does that mean I have to waste my time sitting there for the student to practice? If the teachers see the students' job isn't being done correctly, they gotta jump in and fix before it gets worse. I wanted to give it a try Balayage here and now it's a total mess! Not properly done! On the top of everything, the receptionist (one old lady- I'll find out the name) just does not know how to talk and use her words. I just wanted to say so many words but got to manage myself calm.

Update: The director of the institute called me to apologize and help fix the problem. Will post after follow up.

Avoid the place! They ruined my beautiful hair! Tons of chemicals and the hair colour in the end was pathetic! Looked so cheap. Don’t ever go to a training salon.this is what you’ll get.completely disappointed and my once long healthy hair now is now destroyed and looks disastrous! I could have done a better job at home! Came at 6 pm and left at 10: 40 pm and this is what I get.and It was so late that I had to put off my prepaid hair cut as well. Truth be told I didn’t want them to ruin my hair any further.

***UPDATE*** The director called me within 24 of this review posting and she expressed her dismay in how this was handled. Will update again. 1/25/18

I really can't rate the service because I actually didn't receive any. I made an appointment two weeks prior to when I wanted to come in with a specific stylist. I show up 15 minutes before my time to be told that my appointment is with another stylist and through the conversation between two people working there it was thier fault that I was switched and I was never called to ask if the switch would be ok or if I would like to reschedule. The person in charge asked if I was called, I wasn't, and the hostess said she had no idea. I was told I could take the appointment with the different stylist or come back tomorrow. The kicker is the stylist I requested was there. I walked out.

I got an exc4llent haircut. I wear my hair very short, so there is very little room for error. I will be going back.

Andrea did a beautiful blowout and very relaxing head massage with deep conditioning my hair! Highly recommend going in and trying it out! Ask for Andrea, she’s great!

Recommended by my daughter and must admit I was a bit skeptical going in. I was greeted by the young lady that was to take care of me and proceeded to guide me to her working area. Everything was explained to me prior to be done followed by the instructor as well. They were all very professional and knowledgeable. I can sincerely say I will not be going anywhere else. I was amazed how the young lady (Faith) gave me the exact color and haircut that I wanted. I told my granddaughter to go there and she was so happy as well. Again Faith did a great job. Can't wait to go back. If I had to sum all this in two words they would be "AMAZING and WOW"

I believe this place is great for certain types of hair. Everybody there is very kind and very gentle. My only issue here is that the students should be taught to deal with extreme curly hair and taught how to pull out the hair straight blow drying and also with a flat iron and teach them that it is very time consuming and needs to be sectioned into very small sections while blow drying and flat ironing. Again I do understand this is a school. I’ve come a couple of times and with different students and again they are very kind very gentle but the result of my hair was in fact not very good as per curly hair. I’ve gotten my hair done since I was a child I do know the ins and outs of straighting curly hair and the techniques I’ve seen done on my hair, was not done here which I believe it to be because they were not taught to do this. Each time I’ve come home to straighten my hair all over again and this last time it is literally unfixable lol I can not get the frizz out because it was done incorrectly. The teachers should know this when they come around to see what is being done. I’m going to have to go get it fixed professionally. I may have had a bad experience but that is because of my type of hair, for anybody with non curly hair I think it is a great place to go! I’ve seen many ppl leave completely satisfied with their hair. As for me I don’t think I will give it another try.

I made an appointment with to get my hair colored a few days ago. They were extremely nice and gave my exactly what I was looking for. Even though it was hard to get my hair from a dark brown to a light pink I am pretty happy with the result. They had to make up the formula to get the exact color. But all in all I am still pleased with the color even after I washed it. Krystle and Miss. Michelle were amazing and so kind to me. Thank you guys so much.

Virginia hooked up my cornrows so good I'm leaving a five star review here. Excellent from start to finish.

Stephanie always does a great job when she does my hair.the first time I went to her she made my hair a beautiful pink color, this time she made me a deep ashy blonde. I highly recommend going to her

My stylist was great (Julia) and her instructor (Danny) made my hair look amazing, and they are awesome at this proffesion! I am definitely going to reschedule my next appointment for the next time I need a cut.

I was very pleased with the young lady who styled my hair, Najam. She listened to her customer about how much to trim my hair, & I know I will be able to manage it at home. She had a gentle touch when removing tangles. & did a beautiful job styling with a flat iron & curling. My experience here was wonderful!
