This is not the cleanest hotel that we have stayed at. There were yellow stains and blood stains on the sheets. We had to request for our sheets to be swapped out with 2 prompting phone calls to the front desk. We waited for an hr, then left the hotel and came back and realized the sheets were still not attended to. There were blood stains and mouth wash stains on the walls by the sink. The bathroom had rust and mold along the shower. In addition the breakfast buffet was not complimentary … $73 for 2 people. The elevator is also extremely slow. This hotel is not the best at being baby stroller friendly. They have an ancient claustrophobic tiny elevator that barely fit my baby and Husband. They also did not seem to enforce the limited noise curfew after a certain time. Not fun having to soothe a baby after other guests were roaming the halls in a loud manner after 11pm. Also there was not a hot tub or pool on site. Not the best experience but the location of the hotel was convenient.

This is a lovely hotel. Absolutely stunning lobby and conservatory! I love the rich history of the hotel. I booked a double queen and had a very large balcony. Got this with a discount through Drexel University/ college visit site.

Hotel staff are wonderful and go the extra mile to help. I had ordered an item online from Amazon while in the hotel. Unfortunately it got delivered after I checked out. One of the assistant managers, Carrie communicated with the shipping department and kept me posted over multiple days. Very impressed with her service.

We came here for a quick 3-night/4-day getaway.
I will always say do your research before you go inner city places in regards to parking and stores that are in walking distance in case of a late night run.

The hotels parking prices were $50/day and that’s “discounted” we found a nearby parking garage that was $35/day saved money. The hotel is in a great location next to City Hall and other attractions, that are walkable. I wasn’t crazy about the ambiance of the hotel room, I would say listen to the reviews when it comes to the looks of the rooms, if you’re into more of a “old” feel then I would suggest it will work out if not, stay somewhere else.

The rooms are in need of an upgrade for sure and the hotel is in need a DEEP cleaning. The lobby on the side entrance is so dirty, you can tell they don’t clean often especially the floors, there was trash underneath the chairs, the carpets are outdated and in need of cleaning. It was so bad that me and boyfriend allergies were triggered due to the poor circulation in the room (not even going to talk about the a/c which other people mentioned it’s bad believe them. One minute it feels like it’s on and the next minute it feels like nothing even blowing out any air [and that’s off Auto Mode]) The fridge in our room didn’t work, but the hotel staff was kind enough to bring us up another one for the duration of our stay. The outlets in the room were very few, and well the room with a “city view” wasn’t exactly a view in which we thought it would be. Just on a higher level and a view of buildings from the back, it wasn’t much to look at. I can say the mattress was very comfortable and the shower was comfortable to enjoy. It took us sometime to figure out how to use the TV lol (universal remotes). The ice machine on our floor didn’t work so we had to go to another floor to get ice, according to previous comments it seems to be a reoccurring issue on difficult levels.

After a certain time the front and side doors are locked and you have to enter through a side entrance and i’m not sure if it’s even the main entrance, and with me being disabled and limited to walk it would have been nice if we were told after a certain time, certain exits are locked

Overall Room service came everyday and asked if we needed anything or to clean. But for this to be a hotel that brings in a huge revenue for so many events, a lot of the stores weren’t open, and there wasn’t even a pool. But all in all for me I wouldn’t stay here again. I would definitely just stay in another SoSuites place and pay the extra fees with a much better view and much cleaner updated rooms. So for the being attentive and the great location i’ll give it 3 1/2 idk about a 4 star hotel.

Remember to use HoteIDully. ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful hotel with outstanding service and an excellent bar. Rooms are nice and staff is all about making guests happy.

This is an old and tired hotel masquerading as a historically significant hotel. I am a Hyatt loyalist, but would not return to this hotel. The staff are friendly but that does not make up for the unmistakeable smell of “old” that permeates the building (usually mildew and mold). The room pictures are accurate - if favorably lit and post-processed. The worn and stained carpet and poor trim betray the modern wallpaper, tv, and bed.

Edit: I echo what others have said about both the water temperature and pressure.

Disgusting disease ridden garbage hole. Hotbed of legionaries disease. Good place to go if you're old and want to die horribly.

The food here was pretty good. The pic doesn't do it the most justice lol. But what really stood out was the amazing staff. This was my friend's and I first trip to Philly (all but one of us at least) and we made reservations online but didn't realize they were basically right at close. Parking was a nightmare in my friends big truck so some of us were late and it was rapidly approaching closing, but they waited on us and still served us. The server and staff were amazing and we had an excellent experience. It's very beautiful restaurant that we essentially had to ourselves. I can't emphasize enough how great the staff both servers and chefs were.

Rooms are tired and in need of updating. Furniture is battered and bruised. Sad because bones of hotel are beautiful and has potential. Overshadows good service and good location.

Beautiful Hyatt property in a great location. There was some difficulty at the front desk with room notification and check-in, but the staff were great and very helpful.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at The Bellevue. We spent 2 nights in a Bellevue Suite. Enormous amount of space. It was in need of a little renovating but we expected this coming to the old, historic hotel. The interior is gorgeous. We got to explore the conservatory a bit; can’t wait until they open that back up, such a great spot! The lounge bar was pretty cool. We had a late dinner there one night. I had the Korean wings and bao buns while my spouse had the salmon burger. All the food was tasty! Our bartender was awesome and fun to chat with. The whole staff that we encountered from start to finish was so nice and helpful. We were really concerned about our stay after reading so many terrible reviews but we just can’t relate. Plenty of hot water, friendly staff, great views, great service. There were some dustier areas of the room that could use extra attention but the linens and bathroom were clean and that’s what we care most about. We can’t wait to come back after the renovations. Side note: the giant gym and shopping area of The Bellevue are under renovation! No construction noises can be heard from the 17th floor…the street noise wasn’t bad either. It’s on a major street in a busy area of Philly so of course it’s gonna be a little noisy. There’s also an abundance of verbally aggressive but docile homeless people in the area, to be expected. We also think the cost is about right for the area. We stayed in an 800+ sqft room for the same cost of a shoebox at The W or The Ritz. Give The Bellevue a try and treat the staff like you would want to be treated, you’ll have a lovely stay.

Nice, but expensive for what you get. Mostly little things. For example, we booked a room with two beds for two people, but there was only one glass and it was plastic. Had to jiggle the toilet handle at times to reset the stopper. Light on sound proofing. But the needs were nice and firm so we slept well and that's the main goal.

Great location
Older hotel but well renovated.
We did not test breakfast (too shameful for us. 5)
Fridge coffee maker and spacious room.

Overall I was very pleased. Stunning hotel, lobby, observatory, hallways, elevators, etc. The facility is quite lovely. My room was very comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. My only complaint is that it was extremely noisy one night. I don't know that that's the hotel's fault; it's just the downside of staying in the middle of the city when an entire marching band or group of motorcycle racers decide to make loud offensive sounds in the middle of the night. (seriously, a f'n marching band played for 30 minutes on a WEDNESDAY NIGHT at 11PM. I was on the 15th floor and it was like they were in the room next to me)
