Fantastic and reasonably priced service from this local bike shop! Mechanic Ben, who clearly knows his craft, provided prompt and professional service in diagnosing my road bike issue (on a Wednesday) and went out of his way to source a replacement part (for a bike brand they don’t sell) in time for me to race on Sunday! Wow!

Very good quality service. I look forward to visiting them for bike maintenance issues for the foreseeable future

The guys at The Bicycle Shop are so knowledgeable, helpful and patient with my family and mountain bike enthusiast sons and their friends. They helped them with their new purchases and thoroughly reviewed and explained all the fine details of their new rides with them. We could not be happier with the friendly service and the incredibly hospitable treatment that all employees of The Bicycle Shop provide. It is a great atmosphere and we are lucky to have this business in State College!

They don’t patch tires, which is fine if a bit disappointing. However they also refused to replace a tire if I don’t also let them replace several other parts that bring the cost from $30 to upwards of $300.

It’s like if a doctor refused to give you a flu shot because you don’t want an MRI and a facelift.

It’s a fine shop if you want a very fancy bike, but for a repair overall you feel like you are being hustled.

Nice shop, in SC for a weekend of gravel riding, they helped sort out a broken spoke situation to save the weekend, great selection of products and helpful, engaged staff.

I would give this place a 10 star review if it were possible. I am 6'7 and I had called before going in to the store to see if there were even any bikes big enough for me. The guy on the phone was very helpful. Later on the same day I went into the store and from the beginning you could just tell that every employee had a passion for bikes. I talked to a handful of the employee's and everyone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to a beginner like myself.

Great local bike shop! When I need a part they have it. If they don’t have it they can get it. Have had wonderful service for many years. Bought my first “real” mountain bike there in 2010. Grant and the rest of the staff are always there to help me and provide good advice. So glad to have a local bike shop I can turn to when the chips are down. Thanks!

A great shop with absolutely no ego. Drove 2 hours to buy my kids Specialized E-mountain bike and will do so again when it’s time to buy our digital road bikes.

I came in for a bike fit on 06/08/23. I had just recently bought a new bike and it wasn’t feeling 100%. Grant helped me make some adjustments that helped dramatically. Highly recommend checking them out.

Very happy with the service provided. Not only did they fix the issue I brought to them, but they assessed my bike and made sure I hade the smoothest ride available for the foreseeable future. The mechanics present kept me updated with the progress on my repairs while also explaining additional assistance that could be provided (along with when I should need an update on different parts on my bike).

Gave a free evaluation of an old bike I had, very honest about costs of repair and if it would be worthwhile for me to repair it. I was very impressed with the knowledgeable technician/mechanic. Friendly and helpful with sizing when seeking a new bike

Helpful staff, especially before the specialized buy out. I've bought 2 high end bikes from them, expect a little better treatment then 10 day turn around to geta specialized derailleur hanger for a 2018 epic. That's something they should have or be able to get in a day or two. I can have next day delivered on the interweb would hope they could get it from corporate in a few days. Definitely loss of customer focus. This why people buy off the web rather than support LBS.

A bike for my wife delivered on time and professionally built out. But after the sale they took time to fit the bike and adjust everything to match her and her riding style. Just a great shop and professional staff.
