The Cascades Apartments & Townhomes

My favorite apartment yet! I adore my 1 bedroom apartment!
The space in the 1 bedroom gives plenty of room to be creative in your decor, awesome if you have a pet since there's a small back yard, and a beautiful secluded scenery. I have been there over 2 years and the community has made several improvements to my apartment and within the community. The location is prime-close to literally any store you need, downtown, and a quick traffic-less route on those Steeler game days to the North Shore. Reaching out to staff with questions, or needing a resolution to a problem is never an issue-they are always professional, friendly and responsive! Couldn't recommend this place enough! Something about moving has always been fun and refreshing to me (shout out to all my help along the way). The Cascades became a home I never wanted to leave, and the refresh I was searching for.

Very friendly and helpful in every way I called one day by the next day my bedroom blind was fixed.we have the best maintance guys ever. I wanted to change my parking place and Logic was right on it so I didn’t have to wait till the next day he changed the sign an iwas able to have my car in front of my twonhome. I really was happy to have my car in front of my home. Thankyou logic.we really do have the best maintance guys here I needed ameatal strip nailed down in my main hall and again lugiwwas right there and fixed it befor I arrived home from work. He also went out of his way and carried in 2 large cases of coke from my trunk to my home. I am not aloud to lift anything heavy for another week and Louikunderstood and was willing to help me.thank you so muchLouik you deserve a gold star.

Outstanding customer service, sold us immediately with the way she gave us communication, honesty, and results! She had a lovely personality and is a very community oriented manager.

I can honestly say I am in love with this place.
I do see the other reviews, but I know they have new staff and I must say Hannah and Deedee are freaking amazing. I've been here for about 6 months now, and every work order (I haven't had more than 3) was completed in the same day. The community is beautiful, my neighbors are super friendly, the apartments are nice. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it here. I highly recommend you all come see it for yourself.

I lived here for 2 years and I would never recommend this place to anyone. The front desk people were horribly rude. I had multiple issues and I was always met with attitude and rudeness. Seriously, just call and ask for information. They are all very rude and do not care.

There was a broken pipe above our roof that leaked water all over our patio and backyard, so our yard was mud and patio smelled horribly. I complained multiple times and it was never fixed. During the winter, the water would form a giant icicle that would go from the roof to the floor and would block the entrance. We took photos and asked for something to be done but nothing was fixed. We lived there for 2 YEARS and no one fixed it.

Our dishwasher was broken for months. It would not clean dishes and was clogged. They would have a maintenance guy come in once a week who would just throw dishwasher cleaner in there because it smelt so bad. I had to reach out for months until they FINALLY replaced it.

I went to the pool with my sister and boyfriend where I was harassed by neighbors about guest limits and if they lived there (I lived alone).

I went to the dog park with my dog where instead of growing grass, they had mud and mulch in there. Dogs would just eat the mulch and get sick.

They pretend to have a biking trail and bought rentable bikes for the community but it is a small field that you cant ride a bike in and becomes a swamp when it rains. You cant bike around "the neighborhood" because the Cascades is down below a giant hill so i guess they expect their tenants to bike in the parking lot. Long story short, no one uses the bikes and they just sit there for show.

The family that lived above us had kids that were constantly screaming. I complained multiple times and nothing ever was done about it.

When we left they took away my full deposit for "scratches" and a pile of dog poop in our muddy yard. A yard I might add that we were unable to use since they never fixed the pipes. We spent HOURS cleaning that apartment before we left. I still owe money after they took my deposit but they blocked me out of my account so i have no way to pay them and they never answer the phone.

I have never had such a terrible experience with renting and will be screaming from the rooftops about this horrible place till my last breath. You are the worst.

I can’t even explain how much you should NOT move into this apartment! When we moved in we had a roach infestation. Day 2 both of our sinks kitchen and bathroom flood with SEWER water! The flood ruined multiple things! The maintenance man removed one of our drawers because of the flood and when we moved out they charged us $75 for the drawer that THEY REMOVED! We called and they basically told us they don’t believe us and need proof that the drawer was removed. We had 3 leaks in the ceiling one destroyed our couch and there was a huge hole left in our living room for a month and a half there was one in the kitchen and they left dust all over our food and everything when they came to fix it and the third one was also in the living room. On top of that my dog was attacked at the dog park TWICE! By the same dog I went into the office multiple times about the dog still being on the property and they would just say they’re leaving and they never left for the 2 months I was still there and I had to take my dog to different parks because the dog was still on the property. I’m going to attach pictures so you can see what A nightmare this place is. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Portilla was amazing and Cascades is a great community everything was perfect very clean very professional I would highly recommend.

I love the cascades staff! Jan, Portea and Bruce are amazing… my best friend lives here and I plan to move in after the holidays, and they literally have every amenity you can think of!

Portea has great customer service, made me feel apart of the cascades community way before signing my lease! I look forward to moving in
