7I walked into this store this past weekend and most of the staff were back in the storage room arguing very loudly. It made me very uncomfortable and I walked out buying nothing. I have had good experiences here in the past but this one experience made me not want to come back.
Ive shop here for years. Staff at capital city mall are terrible. Management is just as bad. The clothes are nice and affordable. But aren't worth it when it comes to the employees and customers service sucks when you call in. They should fire all of the employees in childrens place. If I could leave no stars I would.
Holiday shopping season. Only store I went to the mall for today, left the clothing I was going to purchase on the counter as there was only 2 employees working. Line wrapped around the store. Went back an hour later, second employee has jacket on and looked like she was taking a break, meanwhile line was still ridiculous.
Your loss.

The Children’s Place in the Capital City Mall in Camp Hill. The store was extremely unorganized. We waited in line for the woman at the counter to direct us to the line behind us, then proceeded to take the people behind us. I am not sure why. Then we got to the woman at the counter that she directed us to and she said we were to go to the other line. When I explained that we were sent over to her only for her to take the people behind us she got upset and explained that it was the end of her shift and the woman that had send us over was the manager. Unfortunate her employee had to work past her shift without notice. She apologized about the manager treating us so poorly. She proceeded to check us out and offered a 30% at check out when I sign up for their store credit. Fine. Why not? She asked me some questions then made a phone call. She handed me the phone and the person on the other end wanted to know my SS# in the middle of the mall? No thank you. I hung up and checked out as normal. Definitely left feeling uneasy and weird.
Employees need to be instructed on customer service. The object, I thought, was to help the customer. Unfortunately, none of the folks working seemed to care.
Poor signage on items on sale. Store cramped and messy.
Very dissappointed as have shopped for years in other locations and have experienced great service from friendly, knowledgeable employees. Will not spend my money in that store again.
Extremely rude to customers that do not know english. Customer service sucks. Walked into the store and employee was screaming at a customer for not knowing the language. Customer just wanted help.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR ALLOWING THE EMPLOYEES THAT REPRESENT THEM IN THIS STORE TO WORK FOR THEM. SHAMEFUL THE WAY THEY TREAT PEOPLE! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE OR ONLINE AGAIN. AND I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
