The Classic Diner reviews
16 Went with my new born and wife on New Years day for late brunch. I was worried about the parking, reservation in advance but did not had any problems with these.
We were given a comfortable booth to keep the baby with car seat.
We ordered fried eggs with roasted red peppers with brioche toast, strawberry and Nutella French toast and custom omelette. Loved everything as everything had great flavor and I believe will suit everyone’s palate. Also, loved the fresh coffee! Naomi, the attendant was also very energetic and attended us with great enthusiasm
In all, great experience and would recommend to go if you are in the area (I although drove 25 minutes to go there)
A very busy time of year for them - but, as always, food was delicious, and service was great. There is typically a bit of a wait when you come here given its popularity in the area, but worth the wait. Prices are a little elevated given the quality of the food - but portions match the price. Overall, The Classic Diner is an upscale take on a classic diner setting.
Didn't honor our reservation when we arrived on time, terrible parking situation, claimed we hadn't signed in on time and tried to have us wait over thirty minutes from our reserved time
This was a great place to have breakfast Quick Service great food the hash browns were out of this world and this is the diner in Fraser
Jammin’ spot with a cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. They have tables, booths or a counter which is convenient. They were pretty busy for a weekday afternoon, but I didn’t wait long for anything. French toast options were great to choose from- so I got the banana peanut butter, anise, maybe honey French toast with a side of bacon. All very tasty! The bacon was a pricey add on, but the quality was great, so I didn’t mind the $10 charge. (Definitely Not the rubbery stuff you get other places). I will definitely return.
I would have given this 5 stars except for the prices. The food is delicious! But paying $18 for an omelette after adding some veggies to it is a bit much. The portions are big and the bacon is awesome.
Our breakfast was amazing! We had the pear French toast with orange sauce, avocado toast, and and omelette. Everything was delicious and our waitress was very good!
While the food was very good the service was terrible.
My friend and I are from out of state and this place was recommended to us by a friend that lives in the area. We were deliberately ignored much of the time we were there. One table that was sat several minutes after us was served food before we even got our coffee despite the server having to walk past us to get to that table. Even after we were brought out check we waited about 15 minutes and ended up going to the front to chase down the server so we could pay.
We regret leaving a tip.
Best eggs Benedict; the Hollandaise sauce was superbly flavorful. The breakfast potatoes were thickly sliced rounds grilled on both sides. The portion of smoked salmon was twice the size of any other restaurant in the area. Good coffee. Cloth napkins. Great service. Plenty of parking.
Been here 3 times first 2 times was ok. Was by myself. 3rd time not good. We eat out frequently. Owned a restaurant for years. Ordered eggs. Too many pieces of shells in the eggs. Potatoes were just alright. Didn’t say anything to the waitress but she was in a big hurry. Lastly I gave her a card for the bill. The card is worn and lately you have to key in the numbers. Waitress came back and said it didn’t work. I asked her to just key in the numbers, said she couldn’t do it. Paid with cash, gave a 25 % tip. She would’ve gotten 50% if she wasn’t in such a hurry. Probably won’t go back.too many other places to eat now days. This might be the first review I ever took the time out to post. Always give the benefit of the doubt.
It was a nice and cozy place. We met here to give a farewell to one of a colleague. It was nice get together. Food was good and ambience was good too!
The food was delicious! Not your typical diner, much much nicer. I was a bit thrown by the pricing however. You get what you pay for though, food was high quality.
I have been going to Classic Diner for years. They are one of the few places in my area that can make decent scrapple. Their Eggs Benedict is also one of the best. I highly recommend this place.
Comforting diner food. I liked everything I had. The service was very slow though. I wouldn't usually mention it since there was only 1 cook, but table that arrived 15-20 min after us got their food first. Just saying.
We arrived rather early (before 10a on a Sunday) and it was quiet and chill. Highly recommend the Asparagus Benedict and the smoked salmon bagel platter was amazing. By the time we left the place was packed.
At the Classic Diner, they make every day items taste spectacular. Every dish is excellent, every time I visit. The outdoor seating is great for late spring and early summer. I didn't see any patio heaters out while I was there, but maybe they have some for cooler mornings. This is great place too start your day off too visit with good friends and finger food for brunch or lunch.
