The Continental Mid-town, Philadelphia PA

The Continental Mid-town in Philly to check out the Rooftop Bar. The outside doesn't prepare you for the beautiful interior. The food and drinks were amazing. The setup was classy but not over the top. It was packed and required a reservation unless you ate at the bar which wasn't a issue. If you are in City Center area of Philadelphia make sure to stop up to this cute spot!

I will echo the sentiment that the outside of this restaurant does not prepare you for how pleasant the interior is. We contemplated having dinner here on a Thursday night, but the menu was not really my style so we passed on that. We returned at 3 PM the next day to find that they were not yet open. Apparently they open at 4 PM on Fridays and expect you to have a reservation. I am not really sure why as we were some of the only people at the rooftop bar for the first hour we were there. Each of the three floors is exceptional. I was kind of disappointed that they didn't have the large sectional around the fireplace on the third floor, but I imagine that was due to the pandemic. We loved the rooftop patio and the fact that they had local seltzers. The seltzers were surprisingly good! They have pretty drinks too, if you're into that. It feels weird to say, but the bathrooms are awesome. It is somewhat of a challenge to find them though. I was quite pleased with this place and would highly recommend it.

Neat interior and nice ambiance, though having the ceiling fans on full board while it was chilly out and the door was open made for a cold evening. The food was very average—everything we had and read we had to try was glorified bar food. The shoestring fries were very bland and essentially tasted like potato chips. The French onion soup dumplings were interesting but not very flavorful and were burn your damn mouth hot. The cheesesteak egg rolls were also interesting and they were pretty tasty. The bar menu is scarce, cocktails overpriced for what they are comprised of, and the whiskey and beer selection poor. Overall a very average experience. Underwhelming for a Steven Starr restaurant.

One of my favorite go-to places for drinks and food with family or friends. Decor is excellent, it's spacious - 1st floor seating, 2nd floor, and a rooftop bar with fireplace (in the winter)! Staff has always been FRIENDLY and accommodating. Food and drinks are, of course, top-notch, too!

Great food with cool and stylish atmosphere, but still cozy and warm at the same time. Next time we're in Philadelphia I would love to go back!

Delicious food and beautiful ambiance at this restaurant. We sat in the swing chairs as requested and ordered my favorite lobster mac n cheese. My boyfriend had the crab pad thai which was fabulous! Then we finished with the chocolate cake and pistachio ice cream. Yummy! We will definitely return and highly recommend this culinary delight!

Well I must have been confused and waltzed into the 4 seasons. My poor wallet was robbed and my mouth tasted no morsal worth these prices. My heart aches with the time, money, and energy I surrendered to this restaurant. Please don't make the same mistake I made and pay ur working wages to an establishment that is not trying to cover its inadequacy with tacky decor. Sus:

Haven’t been to this location in years, went for dinner the other night and had a positive experience. We sat in the outdoor seating in the rooftop. They had plenty of heat lamps and were maintains social distancing. The food came in nice portions and the service was good. Wasn’t a huge fan of the French onion soup dumplings, but I really enjoyed the crispy Brussels sprouts, Thai pad and astronaut cocktail.

Great place for lunch and dinner. Staff is polite and knowledgeable, food is delicious. Always can find a table, although it might be challanging after 7-7: 30PM

Went in around 4.30 between lunch and dinner so only a short menu. Had udon noodles and dumplings. Excellent alao had steak eggrolls little greasy but delicious. Stayed for dinner buddy had miso soup very good. His wife had veal mearballs very good.i had Argentina skirt steak. Absolutely fabulous. Great food great atmosphere and great service. I am very fussy and have nothing but good to say.

Every single thing I tasted was amazing.including the brussel sprouts! I mean, best food night in a long time! Thank you for a fabulous meal!

Great burgers and fast service for lunch. I was traveling for work and under a bit of a time crunch when I swung by The Continental for lunch. The server was prompt and efficient which my group really appreciated. My burger was really good too!

Excellent food, cool decor and great staff. Upbeat atmosphere makes it a great place to meet friends and celebrate any occasion.

Excellent atmosphere with beautiful and comfortable tables. We were sat even though we didn’t have a reservation. Food was excellent.except for their French onion soup dumplings, that although served in a super creative way in a escargot dish, were mushy gross pillows of dough.

Service was actually terrible. We sat a long time without menus. Our water glasses were empty and we had to actually tag down the hostess to find a wait staff to bring us our bill.

Bar food only. Uncomfortable high-back chair seating mostly. Food seemed of good quality but the menu could be a touch more inspiring.
