Restaurant The Dandelion reviews
19The good ol Dandelion. One of the best burgers you can find in Philadelphia in one of the coolest, historic, buildings. I've been a repeat customer for the last 10 years and have no plan to stop going.
Multi level restaurant/bar with an English flare. Must try and I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was terrific. They also have a handful of traditional English food items as well. I'll be back.
Rather nice spot to sit down and have a meal at. All the food had a bit of rustic charm that lends to their style of pub.
We decided to have a late lunch. I had the fish & chips and my boyfriend had Smoked Salmon and Trout Pâté . Both dishes were delicious.
Pub food elevated at the Dandelion. It was our first time dining here and it was great. First off, the staff was super helpful and friendly. We were able to switch seatings to better accommodate our little girl.
The cocktails are amazing and the appetizers, main dishes and deserts are all great. The mac and cheese and fries was our daughter favorite.
Overall if you’re in Philly check it out!
Service was a little slow, but it's likely due to what we ordered and coming off the heels of the lunch rush. The food was really good - fish and chips were on point hot, crisp, and freshly fried.
Very, VERY unprofessional host service.
Called on a Sunday evening to confirm they were still seating for dining. The host said they were doing so and to come by - “no reservations needed”. Traveled across town to the restaurant and was told by the host “We’re pretty busy at the moment so we won’t be able to accommodate you tonight. ”
Take your business to one of the many other restaurants in Philadelphia that are able to provide courteous and professional service.
Best basil & strawberry sangria (ask for to-go cups if you're in a rush). Love their outdoor brunch. Great architecture & landscaping too.
We came here to celebrate my brothers birthday. We felt a bit rushed. Cool atmosphere. Service was fine. Food was fine. The one specialty cocktail I got was very good. Overall I wasn't thrilled and wouldn't return unless it is just for the drinks.
The brunch food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and courteous and we were well tended to. It felt like a genuine British pub and I will definitely be going back to try high tea and dinner.
This is one of my favorite places in the city, a nice atmosphere with some great food options. Has a fun English pub feel!
A pretty good experience. Had a Sunday brunch with a bunch of family. Cozy interior and tasty menu with great British fair which seems like an oxymoron but get the scones, fish and chips and French toast.
I'm 15and I went with my 16 year old and 19 year old friend. It is a hip spot that has amazing food for people that have a big taste pallet. 5/5.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Dandelion - the ambiance is wonderful and the food was delicious. The cheese board left a little to be desired (volume-wise) and the Summer Corn and Mushroom Porridge was slightly heavy on the mushrooms, but both dishes were extremely flavorful; and service - albeit a little on the slower side - was helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit, and we would absolutely go back again!
From the service to the great food, this place has a different atmosphere. Food is beyond delicious! You can’t be in Philly without treating yourself with the date pudding and cheese plater, and don’t get me started with the burger! The best. PERIOD. The Risotto is absolutely delish. And the shepherds pie! Oh my oh my! Simply, everything on the menu is worth trying.
Cute British themed pub with exceptional food. The decor and building itself make it a great spot for either casual dining or date spot. Then the food comes out and it’s just delicious. We got a rarebit, burger, and shepherds pie. Also very friendly staff.
Had some nice appetizers plus a good burger here. Good atmosphere, not too crowded on a Friday night, and friendly service.
Wonderful experience here. Staff was friendly. This spot is beautiful inside. Feels straight out of a movie. Friend and I got a variety of thing. Beef tartare, deviled eggs, rabbit pie, bangers and mash. All were absolutely fantastic. Will be returning again.
