The Frogtown Chophouse, Cresco PA

I had the filet mignon which was well flavored but overcooked about one stage. This was acceptable if not ideal for my taste. My wife had the Delmonico steak which was also overcooked. They were very gracious and replaced it, but it was overcooked as well, which they again replaced. The third try was again overcooked but by then she was to hungry to care. They comped the steak and were very nice. Everything was tasty, I just wish that they could have got it cooked correctly. The bread pudding was delicious!

Excellent food and service. We had a large group of 15 and were comfortably seated. The waitress and her support would frequently check on the table. They had a very large drink selection, and the mixed drinks were delicious.

Just enjoyed a wonderful meal with my entire family. Food was fantastic. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Waiter was amazing. We were celebrating a wedding that we had postponed for the past two plus years. Restaurant gave us two complimentary glasses of champagne once they heard we were there for that special occasion. It was such a kind gesture and we very much appreciated it.

Thank you all for making our evening so special. And thank you Tyler (host) for having such great communication and professionalism with us as we planned this night so far in advance. Highly recommend.

First and foremost friendly customer service Gabby best ever I had the pleasure of having the most awesome and helpful staff whom helped me from cocktail drink and starters and entree which was beyond amazing! Delicious entrees, absolutely amazing appetizers, amazing beyond amazing dinner I have had! Will definitely come once again when I am in Poconos. I enjoyed my wedding anniversary with the most romantic atmosphere

This place is very nice inside and so rustic in a way but luxurious at the same time. Our server started us with some water and some kind of pancakes with a Dijon sauce (forgot the names), a nice little appetizer to start off the night. I started with the ceaser salad and rate it a 9/10. The ceaser dressing was rich in flavor and very tasty, the grated parmesdan went perfectly well with the dressing and complemented everything along with the croutons. Overall delicious and highly recommend as a starter. Next for the main course I went with the chophouse burger and rate it an 8/10. The usual lettuce tomatoes and onion went well with the burger, I added bacon and was kind of surprised it was bacon bits rather than a whole slice as usual but it was
good nonetheless. The burger itself I ordered medium rare and it wasn't dry but wasn't juicy at the same time, which is something I was kind of expecting since it is what I am used to. Burger was great with good flavors although it did lack juicyness. The service was a solid 10/10, our waiter w.as all smiles and made sure we were enjoying our time and even offered my brother a slice of s'mores pie on the house which was to die for since I stole a spoonful. Overall food was great, staff was awesome as well as the atmosphere and I do appreciate the little candles it really does make a difference for a nice meal. I am positive we will be returning soon!

Very great place surprised there was no mashed potatoes on the menu. Del monico was excellent and the other food looked good as well.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. All of the staff were professional and our server Joey was awesome/made the experience even better. I highly recommend going to The Frogtown Chophouse if you are looking for an upscale dining experience.

One of the best restaurants in the area. They have very friendly and accommodating staff. The food was all solid too. That was one of the most flavorful ribeyes I've had. I definitely also recommend the crab and shrimp bisque appetizer. The cheesecake is a great dessert too!

The Delmonico steak was heavenly. I would drive from NYC again to have that steak one more time. It was perfect. 100% worthy!

Haven't even eaten yet, I doubt there will be a reason to edit this review. The establishment exudes friendliness and a real desire to please both the pallet and the experience. Roxy, the host was warm on the phone, and didn't disappoint in person. Professional from front door to back of the house. Lexi helped us through the menu and bar options like a pro. I'll expand once I eat my meal with my son (Delmonico Steak). The complimentary pancakes w house sauce were fantastic, ask for them if you need to, worth it! #Delmonico #Glenfiddich (a surprise to see in a restaurant, 9/10 places will not carry this single malt delight- but THEY do!)

Lovely spot, high quality food, excellent, attentive, quick service, with a smile! However, be forewarned that everything is quite expensive, the ambiance is classic steakhouse-but the lighting is exceptionally dim, and the wait to get a table can be long. Reservations suggestions! (it does provide a rather "fun" exclusive vibe)
Also, one note on the seating. If you are seated at a high-top (by the bar) some feel rather exposed (out in the middle of the room-and if it's busy it can feel like you are getting "brushed past" often.

My husband and I have been waiting months to go here. I called Friday and left a message for a reservation for Saturday night; no one ever called me back. I called Saturday when they opened and was able to get a reservation for that evening. We arrived and were told they would seat us shortly and then seated 2 other tables that walked in after us. Our server, Mackenzie was fantastic. We started with the pork belly app which was very good. Our entrees were taking quite a while to come out. Mackenzie came over twice, apologized, and asked if she could get us a salad or something else on the house while we waited. We passed up the offer as we were fine and willing to wait. After about an hour wait, our food came out. My husband ordered the ribeye steak special medium and it came out well done and cold. The potato croquettes that came with it were not fully cooked and also cold. My crab cake was good but the potatoes and Brussels sprouts I ordered with them were WAY TOO salty. We are not complainers at all but our server insisted we let her tell the kitchen. The manager came out and was nice. She took the steak of the bill (my husband ate 2 pieces of it) and took 25% off my entree for the sides being so salty. The customer service was great but the dinners were awful. It’s a steakhouse and there is no excuse for not being able to cook a steak properly. We were extremely disappointed we waited so long to eat there.

Quality of food and menu choices were far above any restaurant within 50 miles, or beyond.

Friendly, wait staff who knew the menu inside out. Had gone by this restaurant during Covid, shut down, and so happy we finally got to go here. Superb, Apps, main courses, drinks and desserts.

First time here and sadly the only. The ambience on the back deck was lovely - the highlight of the evening. The menu, wine list and cocktail list were impressive. The summer salad was very good and my husband enjoyed the crab and shrimp bisque. From there it was all down hill. It was as if the restaurant hit the proverbial wall. Wait staff were scarcely seen at the deck for over an hour. And tables near us started complaining. When our entrees arrived two hours after being seated, they were disappointing. My husband's delmonico steak was tasty, but overheated. His 'roasted' new potatoes were nearly raw. When he asked our server for cooked potatoes, he got six more with only one cooked through. How does that happen? My crispy duck was good, but overheated as well, and the accompanying vegetables were underwhelming. We spent $207 of hard earned money (before tip) and now regret it. We will never return to this restaurant.

Phenomenal food and service! Me and my girlfriend loved our evening here and will definitely be back the next time we visit the Poconos.

Very disappointed in service, in many ways. Water glasses on table when you seat, but I had to ask our waitress twice for water, and she never got it. I had to stop another random employee for water. I was taking my mother out for their mothers day brunch buffet, waitress only had to get drinks and clear plates. We were never asked if we wanted a second cocktail, and she brought the check while we were still eating/drinking. Then only put drinks on the check. We assumed we paid for buffet at the door. Then she came back, check changed, the full amount food + drinks were on the bill and card was charged. Food was good, rest of the staff at buffet was friendly, restaurant looked clean.

Hidden gem. Our favorite local restaurant. We've been a handful of times and the food and service is always fantastic. We go for date nights and family dinners.
