The Goddard School of Philadelphia (22nd and Pine)

The energy and joy that starts with ownership and feeds through everyone of the teachers and administration, makes the school so warm and inviting for kids and parents alike. The staff is always responsive and easy to talk to too. The teachers are wonderful, our son is so happy to run into them outside of school and always talks about them.

We love the pre-k school—the facility, the administration, the staff, it’s all been wonderful through a HUGELY CHALLENGING time. I’d recommend this school to anyone. My daughter has learned so much, made so many friends, and comes how happy each day.

Our family has had an amazing experience at this school. Our daughter has been going here since she was 5 months and the teachers / directors / owners have always been highly energerized, positive, and caring. Our daughter is participating in new activities everyday where she is quickly learning and adapting as she has grown through the toddler program. The facilities are spotless and they take an incredibly rationale approach to health guidelines for all situations. Highly recommend!

Jillie, Jon, Melissa, Brooke, Hilari, and all of the directors and teachers make the school what it is. They are warm and caring, and simultaneously practical and realistic. I have three children in Goddard currently and had one more there before she graduated. I’ve never once worried about how my kids were doing during the day, or whether they were safe and happy. The answer has always been yes.

We could not have asked for a better school/experience for our daughter. We adore the owners/teachers/administrators/staff.

Goddard has wonderful teachers, a great program, and truly excellent hands-on owners. The the kids learn a ton, go on lots of outdoor walks and come home every day excited about what they did at school. And they do a great job trying to keep up with constantly changing COVID conditions safely and reasonably.

Every staff member is so caring and truly invested in the growth of the kids there. Our son is normally a bit of an introvert, but with the support from all the teachers and staff, he has become so engaged and interactive with his all of his friends. He can't wait to go to school every morning! We have really seen him flourish because staff take the time to address his individual areas for growth. Additionally, they are very thoughtful, rational, and evidence-based with their COVID policies and do an amazing job communicating with families. We couldn't recommend Goddard highly enough!

The Goddard School has been a blessing to our family. Our son has been enrolled in the school for almost a year now and I can say that this is the premier daycare for your kids! The administrative staff and the teachers are all so supportive and take care of your every need. They use the Tadpoles app and it's updated constantly throughout the day (that is NOT the case with some of the other daycares). You'll receive feedback on their progress as well as all of the cute pictures/videos you could ever ask for.

The rooms and space are top notch. You could not ask for better facilities. And the gym? A paradise for your young ones. Also perfect for any PT/OT needs as they arise (they allow therapists to come in and are perfectly happy to work with your kids' needs).

It's also clear that the owners take great care of their staff - it shows in how much the staff truly cares about the well-being of the children (and frankly the parents). You'll have Father/Mothers' nights to network and mingle with parents, they have regular Saturday date night out where they will watch the kiddos for a few hours while you have a nice dinner (or simply run errands or take a breather).

Pro-tip - if you're expecting - reach out early! You want to get on the wait list and highly recommend stopping by one of their open houses as time allows.

Excellent team at the Goddard (Pine St.) and as first-time parents, the enrollment process was simple.

Our daughter gets excited when we tell her she's going to school for the day and that's all we want.

Goddard at 22nd and Pine (and their new location) is the most wonderful school. The owners Jillie and Jon and their team go above and beyond to ensure our children are safe, educated and loved. The school is brand new from a facility stand point and state of the art. They have such a robust administration team that there is always someone who responds to an email, phone call or question within minutes. To me this is what sets them a part from any other school or day care. Knowing my kids are thriving and in such good hands makes drop off the easiest part of my day!

The Goddard owners, directors and teachers all provide a safe and healthy environment for my daughter to enjoy each day. There is always clear communication regarding school policies, COVID policies and day to day happenings. All in all, our family couldn’t be happier with Goddard

We had the best experience at The Goddard School in Philadelphia! They are truly a family. Everyone in the hallways not only knows your child's name, but knows who they are- what their nickname is, what makes them laugh. I could have never imagined that I would feel this comfortable sending my baby to school each day, but everyone there made sure she was loved, safe, and happy. I feel so grateful.

My son has been attending Goddard since October 2020 and we absolutely love the school. The staff is absolutely amazing, especially with their Covid-19 precautions, always smiling and upbeat. My son is well taken care of here and with everything going on right now, it is great to know that my son is safe and happy.

What do we like about this business?
Everything. The staff, the procedures, the transparency, a focus on protocol and safety. I have recommended Goddard Schools to other parents outside my residential proximity based on the outstanding work being done at the 22nd and Pine location every second, of every day.

The school is well run, organized and clean. Not to mention my son loves it and is learning so much—he is on track to read it seems sooner than his sister did after attending a different school. It is also wonderful to attend a school that is nicely integrated into our neighborhood. Jillie and Jon are so very responsive and we are so happy with the school!

Goddard PHL has exceptional owners and staff that each and every day are very welcoming to us and our daughter. The school is run very well, and we are able to see how much our daughter continues to learn week by week. In addition, she is excited every day to go to school (she truly loves it). The tadpoles communication is great for seeing what goes on during each day and the external communication from the owners/staff during COVID has been very informative. We highly recommend Goddard to any family living in the area. Our daughter started at Goddard when it first opened in 2019.

They really have always been on top of everything and do a great job communicating with their parents and prospective parents. Even when we were just on a waitlist, they were always checking in with us and keeping up to date on availability and timing. Really professional and courteous staff.
