Terrible service We had to grab our own drinks from the bar when the waitresses barely approached the table. They did this on purpose so that they would receive automatic gratuities for the poor service rather than individual checks for each item.

If you enjoy ordering a beer at last call and then getting screamed at to “gtfo” by the staff not even 10 minutes later this place is the spot for you. The wonderful ladies working New Year’s Eve gave us sub par service all night and got in a screaming match with every patron in the bar 45 minutes before close because they wanted us to get out despite us tipping well above 20%. Never returning here and I advise all to steer clear.

Horrible service. Double billed me on an Uber Eats order. Staff refused to help and hung up on me. Management even worse, adversarial and refused to help. I was a long time customer of this place but not anymore.

Came here on NYE. Bar closes at 2am. Last call was called around 1: 10, we ordered one more round of drinks. Around 1: 20 (so, only about 10 minutes past last call, no less than 40 minutes before close) my party (3 people) and another couple at the bar were being unbelievably aggressively kicked out of the bar by the two bartenders literally screaming At us to get out and swiping away all of our still half filled drinks. The explosion from the bartenders happened suddenly while everyone was peacefully trying to finish the drinks rightfully ordered at last call. To top it all off, we had tipped 40% on our checks at last call. Horrifying service. Will never back back.

Went to The Grog in afternoon with our toddler. The bartender, Jess, was FANTASTIC. Seriously. Best experience I've had in a really long time with our two year old. Loved her and so did my daughter. Then we went back during Happy Hour after leaving hospital and our server was GREAT. My only complaint is that I ordered take out. Chorizo Tacos and came home starving because you can't eat with a toddler and there was nothing on my tacos. It's like the chef sprinkled barely a handful of chorizo on my tacos. For $15, a huge disappointment. HUGE. I'd give 1 star but Jess made our experience so great in afternoon. $15 for two empty tacos and some fries? Sad day for a tired mom. I paid for tacos, not fries.

Brought my mom out for brunch at this local spot - Its a great location on a nice day to dine on the sidewalk. A jubilant Jocelyn was patient with the many one off requests on my mom's order and took care of our likely too many requests with a smile - Great burgers, brunch selections, and wings!

I have to say, the best bartenders in the main line all reside at the grog, christine Alessil, a beautiful, bright smile charmer, makes you feel extremely welcomed. Jocelyn Jackson, extremely nice with a smile that lights up any dark corner of the world will make you feel like you own half of the place, Jess, whose personality is extremely Stellar, will make u smile and laugh with sooo much joy, and the rest of the staff who invites you in with open arms, Stu runs the place with perfection and hired the perfect staff to work in a bar. Once you enter the place, you will right away feel like ur part of the grog family. If you never been to the grog grill, give it one try and on the word of Moe, you will constantly come back. The food here Is phenomenal and the drinks are always Flowing

Hannah made the last two hours super chill. She kept our beers filled and the music she played set the perfect mood for a relaxing afternoon. Also, the food was yummy so thanks to the kitchen. Yum!

Very bad service.waitresses did not barely come to table and left drinks on bar for us to get ourselves. They purposely billed all the items together instead of separate checks so that they would get automatic gratuity for the bad service.

After a long day of work, I look forward to happy hour with the ladies that make it truly a happy hour or two lol. Jocelyn and Christina always welcome me with open arms. They know my exact drink of choice and it’s ready before I am. This is service! Being attentive and entertaining is all apart of what keeps a bar going. These girls are the real deal! If you need a nice environment to unwind, the grog with Jocelyn and Christina is the way to go!

A bar. A good bar. Good bar food, solid bartenders, decent beer draft beer selection. College crowd Thu-Sat, regulars during the week.

Great service, however, the place was freezing. Chili was overly salty but the server made it right. Definitely will be back.

I’ve been going to The Grog for several years, but there has been a drastic decline in both service and quality. The prices have become OUTRAGEOUS, especially the drinks. I used to like The Grog because it was casual pub fare and reasonably priced, for Main Line standards. That is not the case these days. Their liquor is far more expensive than nearby bars of similar casual scale, and I’m pretty sure their “pints” of beer are still 12 ounces, unlike the standard 16 ounces. Additionally, while I acknowledge that there is a national staff shortage, most of their staff act like they’re being held there against their will. You’d think that if you work for tips, you’d at least attempt to give friendly service. I keep giving this place chance after chance, hoping that they regain the quality and value that they’ve lost in recent years, to no avail. One of the more recent times I stopped in, the manager’s rudeness was enough to push me out the door. Tonight was the icing on the cake, though. We stopped in for a drink at the bar, and when we got our check (for 2 drinks), the bartender had added 20% gratuity, without telling us before she swiped our card. Now, I always tip 20-25%, even if the service is lackluster (which it was tonight). But the fact that the bartender added gratuity for a party of TWO, was offensive and unprofessional. I’m sure she had been adding gratuity for all of her bar patrons’ checks, many of which appeared intoxicated when I was there, so I doubt they noticed, and I can only assume that they likely tipped ON TOP of the gratuity that the bartender already added for herself. I almost made that mistake after having just one drink, so I imagine the others would not have noticed that she had already tipped herself on their checks. That was the last straw for me. Needless to say, I won’t be back. If you want tasty bar food and good service, the Main Line has plenty of better offerings.

The food is ok. Not great. Not bad. Just average. The service, ehhhhhh! It’s not great. It’s not the worst. But it’s on par with a trend in many parts of the northeast.

If I had to do it again, being as I am a visitor from out of town……. I’d go somewhere else.

I've been going to the Grog long enough to have broken the law in the bathrooms 10 years ago to bringing my 8 y.o. Daughter for lunch recently. It's a Main Line staple and it's worth the visit every single time. Food is great so get weird with the menu. Stewwwwws. Taps are cool and the TV always has sports on downstairs. Can't say enough about the place.

The drinks and atmosphere are good, but boy golly were those burgers mediocre, especially for the price. I gotten burgers at plenty of places and the cooking oil and grease overpowered the taste of everything else. The fries were fine, but I've never had a worse tavern burger.

Horrible service. Every time I have been here I have had bad service. I was yelled at by a bartender because I was finishing my drink within 15 minutes of closing.

RUDE SERVICE! Do not go here if you want to enjoy your night. Our waitress was incredibly rude. The food was good but not worth the experience.
