The Jigger Shop, Mt Gretna PA

The food is good. Huge variety of ice cream! The service is great, but the wait in line is a lot. We will certainly go back there though.

Ice cream is always on point here! The whipped cream is killer and options are many. We make a point to hit this every summer. It’s tradition!

Quaint! Deck in the trees! Sandwiches, fries, and ice cream. Old cottages have charm! Great swimming lake!

We have loved the Jigger shop for 20+ years. Almost always just get ice cream (full disclosure- I have never cared for the actual "jigger" but the rest is great) but this time I got the all American dog. Fantastic 1/2 lb dog. Loved it and the free birch beer refills.

-update several years later. I stand by what I said. Go for the ice cream. Not the food. They have clearly devolved to whatever burgers and buns they can get at Dollar General, and then charge you $7 for.

Great place to eat and enjoy the food in the wooded area plus the ice cream treats are the best in the Mount Gretna area

Very unusual variety of sundaes, generous portions and great outdoor/indoor atmosphere. Highly recommend, however it's extremely busy on weekends so weekdays are best.

Ordered two cheeseburgers they were not thoroughly cooked, but the ice cream is great, and they were very polite

What a cute place in a cottage town! However, I only wanted a latte. But it was far from authentic - they used coffeemate when I asked for whole milk.

Microwave burger. Shake from icecream machine. Cool whip with artificial sweetener.

Guys. I'd gladly pay a little extra for a grilled burger, shake from dipped icecream and REAL whippedcream with sugar!

Sorry to see you mess with the food quality and leave everything to the atmosfere.

The Jigger Shop has delicious cheeseburgers, sweet potato fries, and hot fudge sundaes! Excellent menu options. Service was extremely good, even on what has to be one of their busiest weekends of the year (the Mt. Gretna Outdoor Art Show).

I was pleased that the black bean burger is vegan but I wish there would have been some dairy-free ice cream so I could have had dessert.

The ice cream was delicious, but your coffee was OK. With ice cream as perfectly made & presented perhaps it was too much to expect the same for a cup of coffee.

Just enjoy a day swimming at the lake then head over to the shop for a homemade waffle ice cream cone. Delicious

Mount Gretna tradition. Great atmosphere nestled in the trees, with a large deck and plenty of staff to get great service. The prices went up considerably so be prepared.

Even though there is a Lome every time, this place is worth the wait! Feels like camping even when your not and there is a little antique store right beside the restaurant. Come here every chance we get!

The first time I came here it was a while ago but I'll never forget it. I had a first date with a girlfriend over at The Jigger Shop, whom I'm still friends with to this day, and everything was perfect. It was 20yrs ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. The atmosphere was awesome, the food was really good, and I couldn't have had a better time. That girl will always have a spot in my heart for everything especially introducing me to "The Jigger Shop".

Good ice cream creations and pretty good food, too. The line can get pretty long depending on when you go. Nice atmosphere under the trees. Can get expensive but you're paying for ambience as well.
