The Lands at Hillside Farms, Shavertown PA

A fantastic place for many reasons, not the least of is their ice cream. There is something going on at The Land year round. It's a wonderful place to visit.frequently. Support your local farm!

I absolutely LOVE this place! Awesome chocolate milk, egg nog, iced tea, ice cream…literally awesome everything! I have been frequenting this establishment my entire life and have so many wonderful memories there. I’ve seen so many changes (renovations, etc.) here in the past 30+ years and am so pleased to see how far they have come each and every time. I have many times driven an hour just for milk, and for years have “delivered” milk to friends and family. I will forever support this dairy!

Love their ice cream and milk. Service is efficient and the people are very friendly. Only minor complaint is that the shop is filled with so many random trinkets - some people probably live that ambiance but I'm really just there for their fabulous dairy products.

Love supporting this place! My partner and I got one of their ice cream cakes and it was very delicious. Their selection of local products and ice cream never disappoints.

I grew up in NEPA and was profoundly influenced by this place. It wasn't until I got to college that I realized how unique it was to drink milk from glass bottles.

After college, I returned to the area and worked here as it highlighted learning opportunities as a newly formed non-profit with a focus on education. But at its core, it has always been a working farm, and I relished the opportunity to lead kids on field trips, milk goats, tend gardens, cross cows, and really just roam around the land. It was transformative for me.

The Lands at Hillside Farms is an absolute treasure and a testament to what responsible multi-generational land stewardship looks like.

My visit was a spur of the moment decision on a beautiful Fall day. This was my first visit and will definitely be back. There was so much to explore yet not enough time on this visit. Can't wait to go back to explore more and get another delicious ice cream cone.

This is where i buy my milk and i wouldnt change that, everything is so natural and everyone is so nice.

My little ones had a fun time looking at all the animals they got to pet the goats and little baby cows and feed them hay from the feeder and at the end we got ice cream and bought some chocolate milk to take home

I have loved this place for a lifetime! They have remodeled the store and it's bigger and better than ever or maybe it just seems bigger with the new space that has been added on to the original building. Either way I enjoy meandering around the store and I always find some cool thing to purchase. Of course, my frequent return trips to PA to visit family always includes a trip to Hillside for the best soft ice cream I've ever had, hands down! Great job Hillside! I love visiting you! See you in May 2022!

Always has the best ice cream! Try the pumpkin ice cream for the fall season and buy a half gallon of milk. When you buy the milk, returning the bottle earns you two dollars.very cute animals on farm, definitely recommend checking it out.

The ice cream is delicious. And I love being able to walk around and see/interact with the animals (makes me remember when my aunt would drive me around so I could feed grass to the local cows). I just wish the milk was cheaper (without that added bottle fee)

Takes way too long to order and get ice cream (over 20 min). Only two people before us both times. Need to hire more people.

We drove by this past weekend while on our way to a wedding and saw there was an event (fall festival perhaps with great vendors). We were so glad we stopped by. Animals were nice to see (well taken care of and beautiful property). Their ice cream selection was huge and delicious! We ordered multiple scoops on a cone and milkshakes. Pricing was good as well for portion size. Line for ice cream moved along slowly but well worth the wait. Our only disappointment was we live far so we can't return on a regular basis!
