The Leaning Cask Brewing Company reviews
14Awesome small brewery with solid food trucks and great drinks! Excited to return in the summer!
Food trucks, good beer, good atmosphere. If I lived closer, then I would make this a place for a regular stop.
Tremendous brews crafted by a master's brewers master. It's impossible to pick a fave, but the unusual and delish drinkable Midnight Moo, a black iPA does it for me every time. I hope it never leaves the tap! Always a good food truck, and the atmosphere is as chill & hip as you'd expect in a certain part of Soho or London where they care more about cool comfort than glitz. In a word - aces mate!
It is spacious and mellow. Still has that stand-offfish vibe that all suburban Pittsburgh is famous for, but the fact that they have food trucks outside is great. I happened to hit on Wednesday. A normal Wednesday with an awesome, not spicy vegan poblano/potato taco!
The only reason I gave it a 4 is because of mask etiquette. I went to Hawaii recently and no one had any problem with showing you vaccine card just to walk into a restaurant. In Sophisticated places we have vaccinated mandates. Not here yet, in Pittsburgh, or it’s surrounds. They are participating in an experiment. The bartender looked pale in addition to not wearing a mask. I am a vooxster (backed and boostered), but I think it’s important to “cover until it’s over. ” So just I am looking forward to traveling at Christmas and I may not go back because of their mask etiquette.
Otherwise, I love it!
Cozy atmosphere with a decent selection of beers. All the beers have dogs associated with their names which is fantastic. There were also plenty dogs to pet which is always a bonus.
My husband and I recently moved to the neighborhood, and The Leaning Cask is becoming a favorite! There is always a different food truck to choose from. I love the courtyard.
There were kids allowed in. Kids inevitably started screaming and crying halfway into the stay. At least the drinks weren’t too expensive though.
First time there, great bears, super cool place inside, very relaxing! And a delicious food truck there tonight, Pittsburgh torta!
Great place. I got to have some good beers, the Greyhound is something I would recommend I've never had a beer like that before, and I got to pet 2 dogs while I was there because it's a dog friendly establishment. How great is that
Found this brewery accidentally on my way through Pittsburgh and couldn't have been happier. Very unique beers of varied styles. One-of-a-kind beer garden in a terraced alleyway gave the location an urban feel while still being quiet and relaxing.
A fine English pub, complete with cask conditioned ales, dog friendly with friendly dogs, excellent food trucks. A favorite place to go.
Love this place great beers dog friendly and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable a great place to go for beers
Cool place, good beers I love the atmosphere. Looks like it was dog friendly place. There was a meat wagon you could bring your food inside.
Leaning Cask is the most awesome brewery I have ever been to. It is dog friendly and encourages you to hang out and play games. They normally have a food truck on site and have different activites going on different days of the weak. In the summer they encourage their customers to run in exchange for a free drink and I think that is pretty awesome!
