The Ledger Residences by Sosuite, Philadelphia PA

Lobby staff on the afternoon of December 8th was incredibly rude to our wedding party as we tried to make our way to the reception. Communicated poorly with the Downtown Club upstairs and started yelling at everyone as we were trying to figure out where to go.

Everything was perfect! Building is centrally located. Thank you to the SoSuite team who made my stay just like home:)

Best vacation stay I've had in awhile. It's right next to Liberty Park and Broad St with lots of things to do. The hotel appeared recently redone and had great interior design. At the end of our stay Charles saved the day and logged us out of our Netflix account. Great service, great hotel 20/10!

My stay here was awesome, the suite was clean and orderly and beautiful. The service is amazing, and you can text the front desk for whatever you need. A special shout-out to Jayon, Charles, and Trey! These guys run the front desk, and they made sure I was taken care of. Place is awesome overall, highly recommend!

I recently stayed at the Ledger on business, and overall it was an amazing experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and extremely roomy.

In addition, it centrally located in the historic area of Philadelphia which made it wonderful for sightseeing.

Also, the close proximity to the great food scene was an added plus.

Definitely looking forward to returning to the Ledger for my business short term stays.

Incredibly noisy—busy corner. Needs better windows if someone wants to sleep.

Also, could use some usb charging ports. Outlets in very unhelpful places.

The only thing missing was a real coffee pot! Great location for the historical buildings and info. Our grandsons loved it!

The room offered all the amenities you would need and more! It was clean & the bed was comfortable too. However the sofa needs to be updated - it is already sunken! Very uncomfortable to the point wherein you cannot lounge on it after a long day. It is also easy to hear noise from the hall & the street - but it wasn’t too bad.

Booked the smallest room, and it didnt disappoint.
The check-in is easy, facilities are great, and amazing location. Had some wonderful walks in the AM on the Independence Park green.

An unforgettable experience with my wife we ​​went to the Kany Garcia concert two minutes away, very convenient but we loved the treatment of the hotel staff and we loved it

The apartment was so nice-new and very clean. Our king bed was broken and sunk in on the corner. The location was so close to the sights, but we did have quite a bit of noise at night from people on the street. Service at the front desk was good, but just know that they use a third party to book and communicate. This caused issues when we wanted to store luggage for an early check in. They told me to book luggage hero to store my bags and then they came back and said they had room to store it at the apartment. I lost $40 because luggage hero wouldn’t refund the money. That was disappointing! I also had cleaning ladies walk in the apartment while I was resting- quite unnerving since i didn’t know who it was. So overall a beautiful apartment but some issues with management and location.

Nice loft with a great location, but small things could be better. In particular, it was advertised as 2 beds because it has a pull-out couch, but the couch was SO uncomfortable - mattress was only inches thin and sunk down so you felt the metal bars beneath. Really need to upgrade that. There were also no outlets accessible near the bed. And while there was a Nespresso machine in the room for coffee, they only provided two pods.so we used it up on the first day and they never refilled it. Same with the water - two bottles on the first day, but never refilled. If those types of things were improved, it would have really improved our enjoyment of the property.

That being said, the location was excellent - right across from Independence Hall, it had good wifi, the decor was modern and clean, loved the high ceilings, and it was nice having a fridge and kitchen. I'd definitely stay there again, but I do hope they up their game on the amenities/service.

Lived in this as a long-term residence, and it's hard to know where to begin with what a negative experience it was. During the course of two years, the property switched management companies at least three times, with no notice or follow up to residence.

As part of these switches, the majority of the property shifted from long-term residences to short-term hotel/Airbnb-style housing. With these many switches came complete chaos for residents. Suddenly there were strangers constantly coming in and out, loud partying at random hours, drunk people harassing us in the elevators, several instances of violence within the hotel suites, and complete unpredictability of whether the overburdened staff would be available and able to help. (To be clear: the staff has always been the best part of Ledger, and done their absolute best to keep up - what's sad is, they've had super high turnover rates because the staff had so much pressure put on them through the changes.)

During all the chaos, management upped the cost of our room and tried to move us to a different room mid-lease, during a time when they were actively trying to force out long term residents so they could make more money off the short-term ones. This was the same period of time in which the short-term renters left their garbage to sit in bags (not even bins) in the hallways every day because they had been told to do so.

The expense of the rooms? Absolutely ridiculous. Yes, it's an amazing location. Yes, the rooms are absolutely beautiful. But none of the amenities promised when we signed the lease existed until two years later when we were leaving. Further, the rooms on the alley-side of the building were *cacophonously* loud - I lost so many days of sleep to the trucks in the alley unloading at 6: 30am every day. Also the lights in the alley-side building never go off, so don't expect to sleep without blackout curtains.

If the rooms had been half their price, I would be leaving a different review. But for a place that was so obscenely expensive, to go through as much stress and frustration as my roommates and I did during our stay here? "Not worth it" does not even begin to sum it up.

Super convenient location and great set up for traveling with family. The kitchen and washer/dryer made our trip a breeze. Would definitely rebook!

Couldn’t have asked for an easier experience at a better price. Beats the hell out of any hotel. Plenty of overnight valet parking in the area for semi-reasonable rates, great front desk people; just a really smooth experience. Views of Independence Hall are awesome. It can be loud on the weekend given you’re in Old City by a lot of nightlife, but it’s not intolerable.

Will be back if I have the opportunity!
