I offended everyone. Post it please very offensive.
I was placed in this facility because another hospital had me captured from my house while I was planting flowers. They had send the ambulance and the police. I am life loving person and i would never commmit suicide. It was done to intimidate me for reporting egregious malpractice.
By the way the drugs they gave me were horific and i had plenty of side egfects but their doctor could not care less. I have stop seeing any doctors for obvious reasons.
Why do such facilities operate?
So was it punishment the no underwear? Less food when you complain? No shaves?
horrible pills? Retaliation?

By the way not giving me underwear was not very honorable.
I had to wait until my only piece of underwear dried. Shame

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this facility. Made a child feel more in fear and gave them more insecurities than before entering the "facility". Violated HIPAA policy. Multiple complaints being filed.

Was a resident. If I could give this place zero stars I would. My experience at the hospital along with the other patience was utterly traumatizing. The staff did not care about the patience and only ever did the bear minimum. The staff was rude and most of the time power hungry. There was no individual therapy and no reassurance of safety. They did not point in any direction or help me or any patience there. Please spare your child and take them somewhere that will help.

It was horrible the doctor's hardly see you they do not see you everyday so they kind of just leave you to yourself like some people need that they need someone to talk to some of the people that work there were extremely nice but most of them were jerks I got more help from the other patients there than I did from the doctors I will never go get help again because if I do I'm afraid I'd be sent back to this place it was very frustrating and it felt like I wasted my time it just made me worse I felt like no one cared it just seem like they want to collect a check and it was dirty

Well one of the staff was on opiates one came in so drunk she fell down and a doctor whom barely spoke English misdiagnosed me repeatedly so yeah lawsuit waiting to happen. It laughable as a mental health facility and more used as a pill mill the actual help. Please please don’t send your loved ones here I’m surprised they don’t give lobotomies.

To share all the details of my experience at the Meadows would take too long. Let me summarize it thusly: you get what you give in this place. Truly. If you go in expecting a magic want to fix all of your problems, you're out of luck. But if you go in expecting to experience a spectrum of human beings, all struggling with their own hurts, wants, wishes, desires, and traumas.you'll come out a much kinder and better person, more capable in your own life of making choices for yourself that you'll be proud of in the future.

Between the food (nutritious and edible), the activity groups, the team members, and their dedication to restoring your mental health, I couldn't ask for a better experience.

I truly appreciated my experience at the Meadows and hope, in the future, should I need to return, to see the following people again who were on my unit (C) : Matt, Matt, Christopher, Brett, Garrett, Autumn, Felicia, Jay (meds), and everyone one else involved! Ya'll truly made my experience invaluable and have set me up to go through my life much happier and healthier, once I've processed the trauma I'm handling.

Thank you, Dr. Xu (Shoe? , Zoo? , Szu?) for your handling of my case with kid gloves. I truly believe without your help and handling, I would have been lost.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. They should be shut down. There is zero care, even basic, given to the patient at this facility. No therapy, no clear diagnosis or treatment plan, and the employees ignore the needs of the patients or simply say, "Ask someone else, I'm leaving. "
This place charges $1600/day for treatment that is NON-EXISTENT. I plan to file a complaint with the state because this is completely unacceptable. When people say that mental health care in this country is atrocious, this 'facility' is the prime example.

I had an awesome experience while I was here back in January. I admitted myself due to some extreme problems in my life. I was assigned a doctor who prescribed medication that actually worked. I felt at home there. They all treat you with kindness. The staff is so incredibly professional. However, they failed to give me some of my belongings when I left. I didn't check because I was eager to get home. But it's stuff that you really can't miss like a bright purple grateful dead winter hat and when I called, whoever answered the phone (young guy) acted like he didn't care at all. I asked if he can check for me and he said "yea, we'll call you back" so before he hung up I asked if he wanted my number or address it even my name. I gave it to him but there was no care at all. I still haven't received my stuff.

I still have nightmares about the treatment that I received at the Meadows - over 10 years ago. My experience has made me extremely distrustful of the entire mental health profession - thus finding healing seems impossible to this day.

I was in a child unit, staff were very nice and comforting, food was really good and I wish I had the recipe to the chili cheese dog casserole that they served once in breakfast, roommate was nice, only complaint was that it felt like I was going insane because of the lack of stuff to do at that place.

I Have Had my Fair Share of Experience with the Meadows and UCBH, and As an 18x reoccurring Resident, each experience was different, for better or worse.each time I resided here.

I resided here from the time I was 6-12, on 18 separate admissions for Trauma, Medication Issues, Mental Health Services, and Therapy.

During my stays here, there were several staff that were negligent, allowing for incidents to occur, without addressing any concerns or complaints, prior to a fight, or attempted Suicide. I once saw a fight occur after a resident approached staff and asked for weeks, that they resolve their situation with another resident. The Staff procrastinated the situation, until the fight broke out, and wasn't held liable.

However, there were some good people as well. I've met at least 7 staff there, who acted very professionally, as they cared for the residents, and engaged with them, and in their activities, like card games and kickball in the gym. Many of them were later let go or left, due to the toxicity of the work culture, mainly in admin and corporate.

The entirety of the Meadows and UCBH need to shutdown, let go of all staff that are deemed "unfit for duty", Corporate also needs to fire any executives that are allowing for this toxicity to flourish, and re-evaluate and rebuild their entire program from the ground up and fix the destitution within the Meadows.

I was in placement here during December. I enjoyed my experience and everyone was fairly patient. But I do believe a lot of the restrictions were. A bit much. Like the "boundaries" rule. You couldn't hug or hold anyone's hand or even slightly touch them for comfort or you'd get a warning or threatened to be removed from the unit. It all seemed really overdramatic. And I was given drugs that I had no say in taking. Other than that, everyone was so sweet and I'm glad I had the privilege to go here.

The worst mental hospital i have been to and I have been to a few. I was starving and dehydrated by the time i was discharged. And felt worse mentally than I did before I went to The Meadows. Definitely made me NEVER want to reach out for help again. They did a strip search with a man in the room when I told them I wasn’t comfortable with him in the room. Also the “med doctor” or whatever u want to call him, doesn’t speak english. So you can’t understand him and he can’t understand you. If you go to this hospital, your needs will NOT be met.

Most nurses are there for the money and the staff. Allison was sweet Alex is awesome Eric is chillin garret is chillin and Hailey Kayla and Kaylee are sweet, there are also people who are sneaking meds into their rooms which is not safe at all! There are some other nice nurses that I couldn’t mention cus I didn’t know their names but yeah overall one star for how everything is handled there they can do better

My best friend was in there last Christmas eve and they let him lay in his bed for 3 days and wouldn't even call him for lunch or dinner. His parents fought to get him out because it was making him worse there. He called his parents multiple times a day because his depression was getting worse. DO NOT GO IF YOU WANT TO GET BETTER. THIS PLACE WILL CAUSE SUICIDE INSTEAD. THEY MAKE YOU FEEL HELPLESS. THE STAFF IS WORTHLESS AND SO IS THE DR. NIT EVEN AN AMERICAN ONE AND COULD HARDLY UNDERSTAND HIM. NO COMPASSION.
