The Melting Pot reviews
17Incredible service and patience. Our first time there was a great experience. You know it's well ran when the owner is working hard to help the employees out. Food was amazing. Fun for the family or date night.
Made reservations and still waited for 30 mins before sitting down. Food is good but definitely over priced especially for the portions. Waiting times were bad. The waitress was great and probably the only reason this is getting 2 stars instead of 1.
High price for chocolate fondue and chocolate chip cookies or already chocolate covered cubes are not the right match with it
We had a lot of fun eating there and we enjoyed the food. The service is good. The restaurant is very nice
The Melting Pot's new digs are great.fresh, modern, and clean. The service was very good and the food tasted great. I would definitely recommend it as a night out on the town, but there are two things to be aware of: .
The first is that you'll be sitting there for a while. Expect at least 90 minutes, but probably more like two hours. On our most recent visit, we were there for a touch under three hours, but there were four of us, and there was lots of conversation.
The second is that bread cubes, chopped veggies and melted cheese isnt cheap. Yes, we did get the four course meal, which consisted of an "appetizer" of cheese fondue with cubed bread and various fruits and veggies, a salad course, a main entre with seafood, steak, and chicken (you have various choices here), and then a dessert course (small cuts of fruit, brownies, rice Krispie treats, etc) with a choice of melted chocolate. Not a giant spread by any means, but we were full. This cost us about $140 after tip with no alcohol. So be prepared to empty your pockets.
Overall, a great experience, but it'll take time, and it's not cheap.
We got lucky and had a great server named Dustin. He was very thorough in explaining to us everything that was available. He was very knowledgeable and was an around outstanding server!
This was our first time at the Melting Pot. We have had friends say that if we ever had the chance to go that we should take it, so we did. Prior to this I was not a huge fan of fondue but I admit that I had never had it in an actual reasturant. If you get a chance to go I would say definitely do it just know it is not cheap though.
Have been here multiple times for different occasions always a good experience! Definitely something different for dining out, lots of options to try. Best part is the chocolate fondue of course but all of the courses are delicious and will leave you feeling satisfied.
Melting Pot is unique and fun! Best for special occasions or date night and the service is always exceptional. The cheese and dessert fondues are all very good so it’s hard to choose just one for the table. Everything is obviously cut and arranged in house, then the server brings the ingredients and cooks everything in the fondue pot at your table so you know exactly what’s going into your food. The atmosphere is romantic and sleek. Melting Pot is a chain, but from our experience, each has delivered the same great experience that we have grown to expect. If you haven’t tried a Melting Pot yet, you’re missing out. Hope to visit again soon!
Our service was outstanding! Jason and Paige were so accommodating. They were pleasant and so quick! The experience was beyond awesome. We will be back as soon as we can!
I took my girlfriend here to celebrate her birthday and the service was excellent. I am not one to typically post reviews, but we were so happy with everyone who took care of us. I am vegan and my girlfriend cannot have gluten, so we make a tough pair to serve! The waitress made our selection process so easy and the staff was so accommodating. I brought in a gluten free cheesecake I had to purchase elsewhere earlier in the day. They stored it, decorated a slice for presentation, and brought it out with a plate that said Happy Birthday Kendra in chocolate! The place that made the cake didn’t offer any special inscriptions. The table had rose petals and a candle… I couldn’t have been happier. Thank you for making our night stress free and special!
First time going to The Melting Pot, I will for sure be going back again. Really good food and great experience.
Had chocolate fondue to celebrate daughter's bday. So good. Server pleasant. Draw back is the new venue. So loud! No privacy. Parade of people back and forth.
This is an amazing experience, you really must try it the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious, and the dessert is outstanding. This was our first time Eating here and it didn't disappoint us in any way. Our server was a big help explaining everything on the menu. He was on top of everything. So if you haven't experienced this establishment I recommend you give it a try. And if you have tried it go back again.
Nice experience. The food is pretty good, service is usually very good. But it is more the experience that you go for. It's an enjoyable night out for "date night" with your significant other
Excellent service everytime I go to the Pittsburgh Melting Pot. Never had a bad experience!
We celebrated our daughters 16th birthday here with a group of 8 and the Management made sure before hand to accommodate our every need. The staff was more than world class and the experience along with the food was a night to be remembered. Thank you to all at the Melting Pot.
