Been there before, we'll curated museum. Space is tight so keep in mind for weekend/holiday visits.

I adore the Mütter for all of its quirks and educational resources. I hope it remains just the way it is for generations of oddity lovers to come.

Interesting and unusual collection of medical specimens. If you are uncomfortable with human anatomy or preserved human body parts, consider this before visiting. We visited at the end of the day and the collection area was quite crowded. As a result, it was hard to see some of the exhibits. If one is interested in the collection, one could spend hours reading every label and scrutinizing every object. Otherwise, you can see the majority of the space in less than an hour. Definitely check out the botanical garden outside. It's a beautiful and peaceful spot. Overall, it's a very old-school museum experience. Very much like stepping back into the 19th century.

I did not get to see the exhibit (s) I have always wanted to see bc they are changing things up, also smaller than I thought. Still cool, I wish they would bring back the other stuff though. I think the one I wanted to see was the Insides Out room, which is closed.

We did not buy tickets prior, but we were able to buy admission there with no wait. We came on a Monday morning. It is well worth the visit! It felt like such an honor to be able to learn from these people about their conditions and to be able to learn about the persons themselves. The museum does a wonderful job in respecting the people who have contributed to their exhibits. I was worried it would feel exploitative, and I would regret coming, but it did not feel that way at all. If I am ever in Philadelphia again, I will visit the Mutter Museum again.

Very disappointing - $20 per person for just 2 small rooms and not much in them. The museum has one room dedicated to the influenza pandemic and talks to possible future ones, yet hasnt been updated to include covid. Nice idea, but not executed well at all and not worth the entrance fee

Marvelously mobid museum with plenty to learn about the body, disease and anatomy. However not for the feint of heart, those who are easily queezy should be mindful before entering.

A must visit when in Philadelphia. You can buy tickets online or on site. I believe they have slots for tickets. No photos are allowed inside. Sometimes it does get cramped. But overall a very informative place to visit. I would recommend this.

Was a unique experience, not many museums offer this type of attraction. It isn't large but is big enough for what it is.

Small museum with interesting specimens. Best to go on a quiet weekday because you need to get up close to each exhibit to really enjoy it.

Definitely an interesting and odd place! It was on the hubby's list near the top of things to see. Worth an hour or two.

Fantastic outing when you're looking for something different to do. A little morbid but amazingly interesting. Slides from Einsteins brain are on display as well as Grover Cleveland's tumor. Love that the museum also gives a bit of back story on some of the displays, really helps humanize many of the remains.

Awesome experience, there's a lady thats been saponofied, books made of human skin, wax models of different skin anomolies, and allot of organs in jars. Great for anyone that likes the macabre.

It was an experience to see the human body from the inside and different diseases that can affect the body. Worth going to see.

It was a stunning Museum, we went on a Saturday and there was no wait to get in, ticket check in was quick and easy. The specimen room was tiny and so crowded it felt almost like we were cattle being herded throughout the tiny museum. It was a good blend of actual anatomical specimens but also a large amount of paper-mache and wax recreations. I felt like the descriptions of the specimens could have been more detailed rather than "intestine with typhoid". No pictures allowed in the specimen room. Overall it was a good experience, the only downside was one of the workers kept following me and my husband throughout the museums specimen room. We did not take out our phones once as to respect the rules while in there, yet this employee was on us like a hawk making it a bit uncomfortable
