The Narrows Restaurant, Bar & Inn reviews
16 I went here last summer after a bad rain, and after entering the restaurant I immediately slipped and fell very hard onto their wood floor (they have no carpets). I asked them to call an ambulance, as I believed that I had broken my arm. They told me they had. Eventually, I realized that my arm was probably only fractured (later confirmed by a doctor), but the Narrows had never called an ambulance anyway (so not sure why they lied to my face and said they had). I stayed for dinner as I had a friend meeting me, who had driven a long time to get there.
So the check arrives and we were charged in full for everything, thats right, The Narrows wouldn't even take $1 off the check, after I had slipped and fell on their wet hard floor (and paid a $700 medical bill for x-rays). I am writing this review in case another customer falls on their floor and hurts themselves worse, so there will be a record of their negligence.
Atmosphere is fantastic! Food is just OK, nothing great. Drinks are very expensive, paid $40 for 2 titos drinks. When asking about the bill, she just said "yeah we raised our prices". Staff could care less about you being there. It looks like a party, everyone just chatting. I was surprised that some staff were openly drinking alcohol in front of all the customers (walking around with it and behind the bar). Overall it seemed chaotic and not worth the time or money. Go to the riegelsville down the road, better food and professional service. Would not go back here.
Average overall - this is more a steak and burger place as the fish and pasta dishes were below average. Good burger (good fries) but Fishy fish (rice n veggies fishy too) and mushy pasta. Appetizers - spinach and artichoke dip: burnt pitas, dip needed salt and seasoning and who puts cold artichoke chunks on top of a hot dip? Waitress seemed to be pushing the expensive dishes…. Asked for a dessert menu and was verbally offered 2 expensive choices when in fact there are many choices on the menu.
Great food (!) and a quaint renovation
make this a sweet go to place for a drink and meal. The cozy bar is inviting and their pricing is very fair.
We just finished lunch on a snowy day and were able to see the lovely scenery outside our window.
I loved my bbq beef tots, a menu highlight! Everyone else loved their food too. We will for sure be back!
Thank you for making our day special!
It's so cool to have a fancy restaurant in a building that is over 200 years old. The river is nice to look at while eating, and I love the smell of the soil. 1. Quite a unique experience.
Lunch, place was empty and it still took forever to get orders in and served. Food was not served hot either which meant it sat
Such a beautiful place to go for food. Great atmosphere, wonderful decorations and feel to the place. Good is good, their breakfast potatoes are so tasty as well as their biscuits! Really enjoyed eating here.
While we thought this would be a cozy and wonderful experience……. Things could have been better. The tables for two are so small they are like pub tables. This place seems rushed and the food was marginal. The Brussels sprouts were the only good item. The steak was chewy and tough.
On our way to Bethlehem we came upon this historic and charming restaurant. We enjoyed some beer flights while sitting next to the cozy fire, what an amazing building and location. The owner stopped at our table and gave us the buildings history, we can't wait to come back for dinner and enjoy the restaurants historic charm and great food!

I only had time for 1 drink. This place is breathtaking and so is the view. They have outdoor seating to enjoy that view. I'll be returning to try the food which looked outstanding from what I saw.
Cool place, food wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Bread also shouldn't come AFTER entree's are served, overall it was an ok experience.
Ordered the tomato soup, porchetta sandwich and the pork tacos. All were flavorful. Bonus is they have Allagash White on tap!
Great upscale place. Love coming here on a date night. There atmosphere is great and the food has been perfect every time.
Made a reservation in advance for a larger party to celebrate a family birthday. Had an additional person, but this was no issue for the staff. We were well taken care of, food was awesome, and the vibe was comfortable and relaxing. Can’t wait to go back again. Oh, and have a donut.
First time at The Narrows Restaurant. Great drive along the Delaware River. Parking on-site. We loved their Halloween decorations. Menu is a little limited. Shared the awesome Tater Tots and a Caesar Salad.
Loved the building and that it is part of the landscape. The service was great.
Gteat place and would definitely take the drive up river again to The Narrows.
Cozy restaurant. Really enjoyed the Canuck burger- I love fried eggs on burgers. Waitress was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Looking forward to visiting again.
