Absolutely perfect place to stay! Walking distance to everything. Large room and hospitality went above and beyond for our anniversary

I had a deeply disappointing experience due to the manager's unprofessional and overbearing attitude when trying to check into this hotel on 1/13/2024. Upon arrival, I was informed that my confirmed reservation through Capital One Travel was cancelled without prior notice, citing issues with the third-party payment, and was told to either resolve it on my own or directly pay a grossly inflated rate of $299 for a standard room. The manager's approach was particularly off-putting when he said, "so, what are you going to do about it? " in a manner that was reminiscent of a high-pressure salesman. At the very least, he could've simply offered to help make a call and work it out together. Instead, I was met with a lack of empathy and customer service, forcing me to scramble and seek last-minute accommodations for my family (with two young children) elsewhere.

We had a great stay! Customer service was excellent. Clean hotel with convenient parking. Very nice views of main st and perfect location. The only things was that the room service was strange, nobody really cleaned our rooms but one day they came in made the beds but left the trash and used towels. Also the breakfast is very basic. But there are plenty of places to eat around there.

Stayed at The Penn Stroud for the weekend. Rooms were very clean and bed was comfy. Location is great. Cantrece at the front desk was very pleasant to deal with. Smile on her face and very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

The hotel was wonderful. Everything was immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back!

Great hotel. Location was great and surrounded by restaurants and stores. Reminded me of Stars Hollow! I would request an inside room, as mine faced the street and the pub across the street was kind of loud. Not the hotel's fault, but worth mentioning. Breakfast was great. There was a little hiccup with my charges, but the front desk receptionist, Cantrece and the Manager, Keyur both called me and kept me in the loop until it was all worked out. They are both Rock Stars in my opinion. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and centrally located in town. The front desk women were pleasant and helpful. Catina was wonderful and her coworker whose name I didn’t get.

Cantrice and the rest of the team has been absolutely amazing. We had a handful of odd out there needs pop up last minute and they’ve helped us with every single one. Couldn’t of asked for more.

I was hiking along the Appalachian Trail, ran in to an issue. The staff, especially Cantrece at the front desk this morning was more than, kind, helpful and understanding. I'd 100% stay there again.

We were in town for a birthday trip. The hotel was located perfectly for us to bounce around down town and enjoy ourselves.
The staff was also super friendly. The room was spacious and very clean.
We were all extremely happy happy with this hotel.

All hotels in the area were sold out including this one when I Found this place online at 7am so I called and Cantrese at the front desk answered the phone and she was very professional, inviting and courteous and asked us to just come in. So when we arrived she asked us if we would like to have breakfast and wait in the lobby while she was checking on a room for us and within an hour they had a room prepared and ready to check in. I would highly recommend this property starting with the 5 star service by Cantrese

No ice maker on each floor.otherwise great accommodations and location.weekend rates a bit steep.

Lovely hotel, with a staff who cared to acknowledge an anniversary. The staff was so friendly and the location was perfect in the downtown area, making walking distance good for all. Parking was accessible, even during a time that a festival occured. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the Poconos/Stroudsburg area.

Trying to check in at this hotel and me and my son were waiting for 45 minutes just to talk to the front desk operator. And still was not able to get a room. This crazy. I’ve picked this hotel for the good reviews but it might not be the same for everyone.

Great location! Handy to see a show at the Sherman Theatre. Free parking which is a huge plus! Many neat little places nearby to grab food or drinks! We will definitely come back! Such a fun town.gonna hit some of the wineries and distilleries on the next trip. Lots of shops to grab goodies in too.

Front desk staff was very friendly. Room was quiet and clean, my only gripe was that the shower was built wrong (tilted away from the drain rather than toward it) so I was a little worried it would flood if I didn't shower quickly. Nice location right downtown, can walk to several different bars, restaurants and shops.
