The Pie Place, Pittsburgh PA

Pies are RIDICULOUS! Definitely would travel and sacrifice first born for 1 or 2 pies. Words can not do it justice!

My husband and I literally just left. This was our first trip to The Pie Place, and I was excited as I’ve heard great things. Sadly, because of poor customer service, I will NOT return. When we arrived, the girl behind the counter was filling and arranging the biscotti, which is located right by the door. We made eye contact, but she still had to be told we were not a part of the event happening (seemingly a father/daughter baking event). I proceed to tell her that my husband and I had never been there and I was unsure of how it worked. How do you order? I may not have made my question very clear, so I will give her that. But you do not take that opportunity to embarrass your brand new customer. Her response: “Well, you tell me what you want, I get it for you, and I give it to you after you pay. ” Wow. I simply meant do you offer pies whole only or by the slice. But sure, you can embarrass me instead of asking me to clarify.
