The Pittsburgh Tour Company

My mom and I did the hop-on, hop-off tour yesterday. We loved it. Buying tickets in advance was easy. I contacted the company to find out which pickup location to use for our hotel. Turns out there’s a stop right outside our hotel near the baseball stadium. The tour guides were great. We figured we’d just ride the tour all the way through but at the Duquesne Incline (funicular) we hopped off to go see that. Afterward we got back on the next bus that came around. We then had a new guide who was just as good as the first. All the staff was friendly, caring, and engaging. Bus drivers were great. I highly recommend this tour. We learned a lot of history and about various neighborhoods. Later in the day we walked to the Mexican War Streets after learning about that area on the tour.

Posting this a little late because we have been going like crazy in this city with endless sites. I have to admit I did not know why my husband wanted to come here so bad, but we have had so much fun! Yesterday was a rainy and cold-ish day, so we decided to take a tour on the bus. Our driver was as knowledgeable as the narrator, but the narrator was so funny and he had a perfect radio voice. The tour was a full 2-1/2 hours. We ran into some construction where the driver's mad driving skills were showcased. Even the construction men were impressed, one applauded and gave a head nod! This was a terrific way to spend the time waiting for the rain taper off and not have to deal with the traffic. The women in the office were super nice, too. We just really enjoyed it.

When my wife and I visit a new city, we often take a tour like this to get oriented and figure out where we want to go back to. The guide was knowledgeable and we wound up at a restaurant that he suggested. The tour gave a good overview of the city. I would definitely recommend this tour.

That was one of the best hop on hop off tours I have been on. Our guide was not only very informative but funny! We didn't realize how much there was to see and do in Pittsburgh! Thank you so much!

Great Hop on Hop off bus tour. Two hour tour or all day tour available. We were happy we went with the full day tour.

This bus ride is definitely worth it. I was amazed with all of the history here in Pittsburgh. My tour guide Vincent and Mike were the best.

Really fun and informative. Great way to see a city for the first time. Enjoyed our tour of Pittsburgh - exploring the old neighborhoods and hearing how the city evolved was pretty cool. I also have to give props to our driver and our guide - both were very good.

My partner and I went on the tour as locals and it was fantastic! I enjoyed learning more about Pittsburgh and going places I haven’t been before. We got the hop on and off tickets so we even got different tour guides and their own spin! Such a great time! I did get sunburnt though so be sure to wear sunscreen and maybe even a hat!

The driver, Bill, was very kind and an excellent driver! The tour guide, John, was full of information and fun. We thoroughly enjoyed the views of the city and our superb hosts!

It was rainy and cold but Patty (the knowledge expert) and Mike (the driver) were amazing. Patty is hilarious. Even though my family is from Pittsburgh, she taught us a lot of things we didn’t know. Everyone should take this tour and ask for Patty as your host.
