The Pizza Box - Glenside reviews
16This is only in regards to the new gluten free offerings. The GF pizza here leaves much to be desired. The crust is pretty dry and tough even for GF.the cheese was okay and the topping were pretty good. The non GF looks and smells incredible! If you do not need GF try this Glenside staple!
1st time there. Got a few slices that were definitely sitting for a bit before getting reheated. I can tell if the slices were fresh it would have been really good.
Great pizza parlor atmosphere and friendly staff
2 of the 3 slices I had were very good. The other was just not my favorite but I could tell it was well made. Cash only with atm in the back is kind of annoying.
My husband and I went here to have their Sicilian pizza. It was really good. Great flavor! The door was non-stop. Folk were coming in for food. Which is a good indication their food is good. Yes we will be back
This pizza is the best in the area! I am obsessed with it. One piece is so big and fills me up! I also really love the cheese they use!
As a caregiver, I worked with a client of mine a couple of days after they moved in with family. It just so happened that they lived just 4 mins away from The Pizza Box.
My client decided to order from here, requesting 2 cheesesteaks & a bag of fries alongside some cheese whiz. As it was only 4 mins away, I decided to walk over to save myself some gas.
Once I got there, the process of getting the food felt old-fashioned as they ONLY ACCEPT CASH! Luckily, of course, they had an ATM in the back to make my transaction. However, you have pay a $1.75 service fee and can only take out sums of $20, so I’d advise anyone to have the right amount of cash on them when they come to PICK UP their food [since they don’t do delivery].
After walking back with nearly $30 of food, I prepared myself to indulge in what claims to be a “local favorite” with it’s 4.7-star rating.
Once I did eat my food, it met my expectations.
The toppings were a bit lopsided with a good amount of few things but not enough of another; regardless, it satisfied my appetite along with the fries.
Overall, even if my client though of it as being “ok”, it was a worthwhile meal.
Wouldn’t mind going for another walk to get food that’ll fill you up after some exercise.

Absolutely a must for anyone nearby or driving distance. Family environment with parking and sit in. From the grill to the pizza and don’t forget their pasta dishes, they will impress every customer.
Stopped through to grab a slice while out on the road. Friendly service and well staffed. Got a white slice, it did the job. Will be back to see if anything else is poppin'
Went for first time yesterday with wife and we think its has some of the best pizza around super fresh made with loving care best ingredients you can find we got what we call the (Al Jackson) which is chicken cheese steak sandwitched between 2 pizza with fried onions sweet peppers and whiz with homemade tomato sauce drizzled on top the best. Hope to see you there. Thank you to the super friendly staff
By far the best pizza I've had in years! The staff was incredibly friendly and fast despite them being incredibly busy. The pizza had the perfect sauce to cheese ratio which I find most places cannot get right. The dough was also very good. They only accept cash though.
Pizza was excellent. Service was good. Sort of a hole in the wall kind of atmosphere. Most people were doing take out. Only a few tables available for dine in. Cash only, but with an ATM on site.
A great neighborhood place! Excellent selection of slices to pick from for a quick bite and great menu beyond pizza also.
Pizza is delicious and the staff is very polite and helpful. They had no problem recommending a pizza for me based on my likes!
I rode by this place for 7 years and I decide to call to see what else they served. The customer service on the phone was excellent, the greeting was just the same and the variety of gourmet pizza, salad, hoagies and cheesesteak. So, as I waited for my food, I had a slice of pizza right out the oven and ordered a cheesesteak to go. This so reminded me of my childhood pizza shop that my mom would take me to on Friday after school. When you go bring CASH $$$$$!
Would be 5/5 (been ordering here a long time) BUT huge issue - we ordered a pizza the other night asked for the one of the specialty ones that comes with sausage and other stuff.asked it to be made with ground beef instead of sausage. You would think that would clue them in that we might not eat pork. Ordered broccoli bites with it and NO WHERE on the menu does it say the broccoli bites contain bacon. We don’t eat pork. Got very sick. Not only is that a religious offense but for someone who has never had it touch their insides it was basically the same as having food poisoning. Vomiting and diarrhea sweats etc. I don’t appreciate that type of mistake (not a small one) or lack of forethought i might not have been so upset if I hadn’t clearly ordered a pizza in the same order that usually comes with sausage and substituted ground beef DUH
