Great place with a nice crowd but really it was Ken the bartender that made our night awesome

Awful pub. The time weve eaten here, all the food we ordered was burnt, but weve dealt with it. Weve come here multiple times afterwards anyways for drinks and have had okay experiences. Came here for another night to celebrate a birthday and bartender was dumb enough to not recognize a valid New Jersey license, he would not scan it or serve our friend. Asked for a cup of water for a friend who walked there on crutches and he said that we can get it from cooler. When we told him there’s no cups, he said to drink from the spigot. Would not give us a water and was overall extremely rude, felt like he was on a power trip. Tired of giving this bar second chances.

I sooooooo much like this place! My favorite "dive" bar. Feels like a step in the past. The atmosphere is awesome. I brought my out of town friends here for the awesome food, beer, and atmosphere. They both agreed that they loved it there. Get the Philly box! Soooooo good!

The Buffalo wings I ordered were excellent, the beer was great and cold. The service was great our waiter kept checking in making sure we were good. It's very dark in there with little lighting at night and loud with music but other than that I would go back.

8/24/23…What do you do when your refrigerator breaks? You head over to the Pub on East Passyunk and have a great dinner starting with Candace, our server, who is so very nice and you add in the most delicious nachos, chicken sandwiches, Pope burger and fries and chicken fingers and Pete’s awesome chicken wings and always a “hello” from Pete and everything is so much better. Thanks Pete and staff. Your food and friendliness is awesome!

1/13/23…Still love their nachos, chicken
sandwich, pope burger and now I can add their chicken wings to one of my favorite foods! It was my son’s birthday and Pete was awesome enuf to send out a candle on his sandwich. Thanks Pete, it will always be the small gestures in life that make you remember a place! You put a smile on my son’s face and that is awesome! Great margarita also!

1/13/22 Just had a couple of cocktails and a
nacho, a chicken sandwich and a Pope Burger for my son's birthday. This is still one of our favorite places to get a really good cocktail and an awesome meal. Thank you, Pete and staff!

Updated review 5/12. Just ordered take out and the food is still delicious as usual. We had nachos with chicken, the Pope Burger and the chicken sandwich. Love that they use eco-friendly containers.

A really nice pub/restaurant with a friendly staff and good food. Our personal favorites, the nachos, the chicken sandwich, the burger and the fries with crabmeat and cheese. I recently went for their weekend brunch and wow that menu is great also. The chicken fried chicken, the breakfast burger.delicious. One of my favorite places to get food.

I've been visiting this restaurant for years, and every time I go, I always have their wings and Chesapeake Crab Fries.

A good variety of liquors and beers.

Nice and relaxing place to rest after a day of work. The tables on the 'terrace' (ie on the sidewalk) offer a beautiful view of the 'square' and the sunset.

The chicken wings and crab fries were amazing here and the drinks were great. The staff was extremely nice, and the atmosphere was also really good (they were playing a studio ghibli movie on the TV, which is a major plus in my book)

Really great service with friendly staff. Had a nice bite to eat outside, seated on one of the sidewalk tables. Was a nice visit for an easy dinner and a good selection of local brews.

A nice little pug to hang out listen to some music and hang out with some friends. It's a really chill spot to be at

Great neighborhood bar. I’ve been a few times and didn’t realize they have a dartboard in a back room past the bathrooms, welcomed surprise!

The best burger, the best fries and the best wings. Get the PoPe burger with fries, and wings. The Pete's wings and Thai chili were unique and delicious. Great vibes too, and friendly staff.

Great beer, great food, thoughtful staff. Vegan options (get the seitan reuben and sub kimchi) and the non-veg burger was amazing too. What a nice spot!

Very good local bar. Staff was very friendly. Even though they were about to close they served us without rushing us. Let us sit outside while they finished up closing the bar and couldn't have been nicer about it.

Cool looking bar with plenty of seating.

Service is not good. I sat at the near empty bar on a Tuesday night. I waited for 10 minutes, as the bartender kept walking past me and avoiding eye contact.

Food and atmosphere average.

Had to give a debit card deposit to order food at the bar.

Didn't receive check, got binder with sale already rung up on my card. Don't like that, wanted to pay cash.

Never in all my pub life in America has this happened. Ask for the check and it's already paid.

Won't go back, tracking my debit card isn't cool.
