The Pub & Restaurant reviews
16Great ambience. Cajun chicken and cheddar club was pretty good. Nice place to eat with a friendly staff.
Excellent food. Amazing staff. 19th century architecture. On the square in Gettysburg, PA.
Went there over the Christmas holiday with our family. The poutine with the shredded beef was out of this world and the best I’ve had since returning from a Canadian trip. Well done…
Late lunch at the Pub. Emily our waitress was delightful and food was delicious.
BRAVO!
The food is gross, they don’t have pizza anymore and you need to download another app just to park nearby or bring a lot of quarters. They put chocolate chips in the blue cheese burger, save yourself some time and go to McDonalds.
They had local wines on the menu but were completely out when I went to order one. The food wasn't anything special. I've had TV dinners that were more flavorful. It's a pretty place. Our server was quite pleasant and the service was good. I wouldn't be inclined to return though.
Best French Onion Soup we have ever tasted! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and were not disappointed! Everything we chose was savory and delicious. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be revisiting next time we are in Gettysburg.
Visited Gettysburg this past weekend for my girlfriend's birthday. We decided to try and go here and the wait was like 45 minutes, OK no problem. After an hour and a half go by we decide to throw in the towel and go to The Upper Crust right up the road and that place was great. No point in trying to go back in to ask how much longer it will be when there is a small crowd outside of the restaurant. 3 days later, still never received a call or text that my table is ready! Stay away from this place unless you like to have an empty stomach, and be hangry.
My boyfriend got the meatloaf. We shared the Buffalo wing fries and I got French onion. My boyfriend said it was the best meatloaf ever…. The Buffalo fries were not lacking any flavor. Each bite was amazing! I could have just got the French onion soup as it was just as good and filling. The fries made leftovers for about 2 more days. Can’t wait to go back!
Nice menu in a good place on the square, some items are a bit pricey but it's worth it
Absolutely amazing!
Staff so polite and nice.
The food amazing, I had a pulled pork sandwich, spice but not too spicy. Absolutely amazing. Though it was crowded, service at the bar and at tables are fairly quick and prompt.
Could not recommend this place more!
Delicious food, great service! I definitely will be back when I'm in Gettysburg! My family enjoyed everything about this wonderful place!
Wonderful place in the heart of town square! If you like French onion soup you HAVE to get it from here
It was a busy night in Gettysburg and they were able to get a table of 8 seated within 30 minutes. The food was delicious and it was a fun evening with friends. My out of town friends said they found their new favorite restaurant and want to eat there again next time they come to town.:)
Some of the worst food my husband and I have ever had. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and my pasta was complete mush and the bottom of the plate was filled with water. Sauce was horrific and super bland and the meatballs looked and tasted super old. My husband got one of the chicken wraps. Hardly any flavor and nothing tasted fresh. I'm not sure how this place has this many good ratings. Unless most people don't know what good food is? I'd rather eat hospital food.
After reading another review about the cake served here, we decided to give it a try. We sat outside, and after our four desserts were delivered, we could not have been more pleased! The cake slices were the size of our head! Ha! Definitely too much for one person to eat in a single sitting, but easy to take for later. A great experience, and everyone around us seemed to enjoy as well, as we received many oohs and ahhs, plus a round of applause from a couple seated inside the restaurant window! (Each of the cakes tasted delicious, but our favorite had to be the carrot cake.)
