The Railroad House Inn, Marietta PA

Sat at the bar tonight and an employee was at the bar with her computer stressing about the weekend issues! I had a rough week at work and come to the bar to relax and unwind- I don't want to spend my night hearing your employees stress about the upcoming weekend! Can't they work elsewhere? The bar seems like a terrible place for them to share their stress!

We got married here this summer and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location to tie the knot. The landscaping is gorgeous. The food is to die for. The staff is so amazing. The air conditioned barn, large tent, and grassy areas with yard games and a fire pit provided plenty of room for everyone to mingle. They have plenty of parking for guests. They have rooms upstairs at the inn so we didn’t have to drive home afterwards. We had brunch at the restaurant the next morning. There are so many lovely places to get pictures there too! It’s truly a one-stop shop and it is perfect. Joey (the owner) clearly takes pride in all he does and it shows. So many of our guests commented on how great the food, staff, and location was. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to get married here.

We had dinner at this restaurant last night, and it was amazing! The service was excellent (I’m terrible with names, but I think hers was Jennifer?) and our waitress was so considerate and kind! We ordered the flat iron steak with gnocchi/mushrooms/capers along with a grilled Caesar salad, all of which were eaten in one fell swoop (oops, forgot to snag pictures). The Manhattan served there was also stellar! Absolutely planning on a repeat trip in the future.

Wow! In my travels this was one of the coolest places. The food was unquestionably excellent. I had the flat iron steak and my wife a chicken salad. Both were wonderful. The town itself was well preserved. Definitely trip worthy of you're in the area.

Son is having his Rehearsal Dinner in the Carriage House so we went to preview the food. Staff was incredible! Very friendly and attentive but also left us to talk with our friends. Food was GREAT! AND when they heard about the rehearsal dinner they brought the social director who showed us the Carriage House and very helpfully gave us a rundown of its' history. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Are really looking forward to returning to the Railroad House Inn again.

Just had one of the best rissotos I've ever had at this restaurant. It came with a large cut of chicken, and an incredible tomato jam that made every bite uniquely good. If you're looking for a fancier meal at a respectable price, this is the place to go.

Also the boozy iced coffee latte on the desert menu is wonderful

Shawn was our bartender and can that boi mix them up. Our whole crew literally couldn’t believe how well he shook the drinks. Everything was frothy in a good way. We joked enough eventually he started shaking our waters. Weirdly enough even those were better. He was saying it turns it into river water when you shake it?

Lauren and the team made our rehearsal dinner planning process very simple. She worked very closely with us to make the dinner perfect. We had our rehearsal dinner in the carriage house and it was stunning! Guests were able to eat/drink in the house as well as in the tent next to it!

The food, drinks and service were amazing during the dinner. We highly recommend this venue for anyone thinking of having a rehearsal dinner in the Lancaster area.

My wife and I have been to the restaurant itself and it is also fantastic!

Historic inn. Within feet of the river trail where you can walk for miles in either direction. Rooms were clean and well done. You will hear the freight trains at night! But that is part of the overall experience. Breakfast is a voucher for $15 at a great cafe in town. We did not eat at the inn but it is very popular.

I typically take a pic of what I'm eating but it looked so good. The ribeye ranks up there with the top 10 steak houses. The service was the best. Wendy did a great job!

I know most reviews here are for the actual restaurant part, but I wanted to share my experience for my wedding here!
Our planning experience with Lauren went so smoothly and the venue was so accommodating to everything we needed (and then some!)
Everything went so smoothly and we couldn’t be happier. All the small details that we didn’t even realize/hear about until after really made me thankful for everything Lauren did! From bringing us an appetizer plate, to keeping everything on time, to getting all the decor together exactly how I wanted it to be, and more! I am so incredibly thankful. It really helped me to enjoy the day and not stress about anything! Everyone was raving about how good the food was and how gorgeous the venue is.
It was super hot for the wedding, but someone brought me a ice water without me even asking and Lauren brought me a cooling towel! Everything was amazing and I definitely recommend this as a wedding venue.

I had a private lunch celebration on a Saturday to celebrate our marriage with family and friends. The location was so pretty and perfect for what we wanted. We received so many compliments about the place. The food was also delicious! We also chose

This is our return trip to the inn which includes dinner. First, dinner was excellent. We chose the patio since the weather was perfect. Our server was friendly and there when we needed. The meatloaf dinner was great and so generous I couldn't finish. My wife's scallops were a great choice too. The restaurant, is in my mind, the best restaurant in town. Regarding our stay, our choice was a back room since most rail traffic operates at night. Management notes this is a better option for light sleepers. Can't say I noticed much of a difference though probably it's better than the front room we had the past visit. The room felt smaller as did the shower. My only minor complaint is the water valves could use directions related to increasing/decreasing the flow. Trying to guess this in the shower would be a mistake. That said, we enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

What a great place. Food looked amazing. Tasted great. Great service. Patio area was beautiful. Could pull our bikes up and keep them in sight.

We started with the Soup Du Jour and the Grilled Shrimp. Perfect pairing. I had an Estate Salad and then we both had the 14 oz steak, medium. Everything PERFECT. The drinks were excellent. I have never been disappointed here and I will definitely continue to come back. Every penny is worth while and the experience is perfect every time!

Update: attended the brunch for our anniversary. STILL PERFECT!

This was for a rehearsal dinner for about 40 people prior to wedding at the Stone Mill Inn, which absolutely a fantastic place by the way.everything was great, appetizers, dinner drinks.all guests had a great time, big thanks to Lauren at RRH inn for helping plan menu.no complaints at all!
